House investigators interviewed Elizabeth Hofacre, in charge of processing tea-party applications in Cincinnati and she pointed fingers at Carter Hull, a lawyer in the IRS Washington office.

Mr. Hull in turn has pointed fingers at Lois Lerner and the IRS chief counsel William Wilkins, an Obama political appointee to the IRS. I wonder who he'll point fingers at?

Remember how long Watergate took to unfold. This IRS scandal has long legs and it's not going away.

Meanwhile idiot in chief just stuck a stick in the hornets nest trying to create another problem, perhaps this explains why.

It's in this POSTUS's best interest to keep fanning the flames of racial disparity in the hopes of racial tensions spill over into the street.

I predict Lerner gets immunity and then we'll get the whole story.

If Bush had sicked the IRS on move on and the like the left would be marching in the streets screaming at the moon. Republicans have to work so don't have time for that stuff so will await the proceedings and not behave like savages. It will come to fruition. What punishment will fall on dear leader I don't know but his chickens will be coming home to roost.

Elizabeth Hofacre indicated in yesterdays testimony that she was waiting on guidance from the Washington Office and you believe that this is out of the ordinary for a bureaucracy. Surely you must have other examples somewhere where a government agency didn't complete a project on time.

Well that's a nice way to put it. Hofacre stated that she sent them to Hull and they went back and forth and after coming to a conclusion about the two test cases they were reviewed by someone above Hull who had been with the IRS for four months. Mind you, Hull had been in the IRS for 48 years and was an expert. The person above Hull, who's name I don't recall at the moment, took the test cases after hearing Hull's recommendations and after Hull met with lawyers in Washington basically ignored Hull's recommendations. That was the beginning of the 3 year wait for 100% of the TP groups as they waited for Washington to make a decision on how to proceed. Hofacre waited so long and was hounded by so many organizations asking for answers to their request that she asked to be transferred.

Blaming it on the bureaucracy is a typical response that doesn't excuse anyone or anything the IRS did. It doesn't dismiss the propaganda that "two rogue agents" did it. That statement was a complete lie and a purposeful attempt to mislead.

You may have point if it wasn't only conservative groups.
