Two men were attacked blocks apart in Harlem early yesterday by a hammer-wielding gang of thugs, police sources said.
The first victim of the seemingly random violence, Timmie Sampson, 31, was hit in the head with a hammer outside 1370 Fifth Ave., at East 115th Street, at about 12:45 a.m.
Sources said he was set upon by a gang of five or six black males wearing white T-shirts, and that at least one of the goons struck him over the head with a hammer.
No system is perfect and ours is probably better than most. I didn't agree with Zimmerman, OJ or the Anthony case ~ but I'm sure there are some that did.
Unfortunately, a lot of educated people don't serve on juries because they are busy working,etc so I do think we need to make it easier for working people to serve on juries.
So only the unemployed serve on juries? Ha ha! If you get a jury summons, just try to get off because you have to work. Only uneducated people serve on juries? How old are you?
He had no obligation to run. Why does the black man have to cower and flee from a white racist? He had a right under SYG to kill Zimmerman. It is a shame that he was not armed and was not able to do that.
George Zimmerman is not white...who is this white racist you are referring to? Martin was a punk regardless of color. He would have looked suspicious whether he be white, black, orange, purple, etc. This has nothing to do with color, the black community has made it into a color war. Were there "white" riots when OJ Simpson was found innocent for killing a white girl? ugh....
Go George!! Risking your life with all the death threats to help a family in need. Would Martin have helped if he was in the same situation? George may have a temper but he has good intentions and it shows.
It takes a very sharp minded person to skirt around a lawyer attempting to prosecute you. Most people guilty or innocent don't stand a chance during a skilled questioning while on the stand. Zimmerman's lawyer knew that a cross examination would be like putting GZ in a meat grinder...From what I gathered Zimmerman wanted to take the stand and was chomping at the bit to do so.
You have absolutely zero chance of having the slightest idea whether Zimmerman wanted to take the stand. You should stop reading rags and then claiming the ideas as your own. It's ridiculous. "From what you gathered....." LOLZ.

Old enough to know AND to have gotten off TWICE due to work requirements
Id love to be on a jury. Ive had jury duty before...I take the jury duty notice along with the slip they give you at the court and I bring it all with me to work the next day and they make up the difference. No need to get off due to work requirements, I get paid regardless.
