The US isn't "colonial". All the US cares about is that oil is traded in dollars by OPEC. We aren't taking over countries and colonizing them. We don't care who digs up the oil as long as it's paid for in dollars. You should just be happy we didn't peg the dollar to syrup back in the seventies. lol

George Bush had a recorded IQ of 118. Kerry, the "genius" who opposed him, had an IQ of 115.

Obama is, by his diction and inability to think well "on his feet" is of marginal intelligence. Too bad we don't have IQ measurements or his transcripts, which would reveal the obvious.

People actually remember taking classes with Bush in college and seeing him in class. So far, we have no such person that can say the same about Obama.

The US is WORSE than colonial. At least in a colonial situation the colonial power feels a little responsible for good governance and the living conditions of the people. No you are correct the USA is not colonial but is Imperial. It just rapes and pillages it`s vassals and gives nothing in return except aid to keep the generals in power.

True Communism is a society in which everything belongs to everybody, and is distributed according to NEED. There can be no "class war" because there are no "classes". The only true Communist societies are primitive tribes such as those along the Amazon River which have had little or no contact with "civilized" peoples
Another communist know it all. Why are there so many around these days? Is this what our universities are teaching nowadays?

The fact is the vast majority of Americans have no clue about the French Colonial period of French Indochina (which included modern Vietnam). The truth is that during the WWII years Ho and folks like him worked closely with the US in their joint fight against the Japanese and at the end of the war the OSS (precursor of the CIA) recommended that the US throw their support behind Ho in his struggle to evict the French from the colony. At the time however the US was more concerned with Soviet expansion in Europe and thus did not want to alienate the French because it was felt that French support of the new NATO was more important to US interests than Vietnamese independence was.

So, Vietnamese independence was sacrificed as the US decided to support the French in Indochina rather than the revoltionaries. The result is that Ho looked elsewhere for aid and found that aid in the Soviets - who were more than happy to cause trouble for any NATO member nation. Thus, rather than supporting freedom and independence in French Indochina, the US ended up supporting French imperialism there - and as a result ended up pushing Ho into the willing arms of the Soviets.

That terrible decision to support France over the native peoples of Vietnam (and Laos and Cambodia) was a horrible mistake that would come back to haunt us and cost us some 50,000 US lives in years to come.

Ken
Bravo! Someone who actually knows wtf he's talking about on CD.

Obama doubles down on stupid and repeats Ho Chi Minh lies:

Ho Boy: Obama says Vietnamese butcher & dictator Ho Chi Minh was inspired by Founding Fathers - YouTube

Every left wing and right wing tyrant in the 20th century at one time or another compared themselves to the American revolutionaries but any other president would have had the good sense not to repeat it.
The Vietnamese leader committed a diplomatic faux pas bringing that letter in the first place but an intelligent president would have simply set it aside and not repeated it.
What an imbecile.

Who's your next hero going to be ? Adolph Hitler, Pot Poll........
So me pointing out that Obama is extremely intelligent to the OP whose whole entire purpose of the thread was to make Obama look stupid makes me stupid? I'm 40. I was not in Vietnam. With that said, I have 12 family members that served. How many did you have?

Also, I'm going to call you an ignorant Republicanbot because obviously this kind of talk is tolerated in this forum. Furthermore, perhaps I should call you a "non-hookedonphonicsbot" since your reading comprehension apparently isn't the greatest. The ignorant tend to stew in its own juices, or if I wanted to say it your way "it's" own juices.

Now, how about making a cogent argument (I'll give you a link to "cogent" if you like) or making a relevant point before you go on calling people idiots?

I heard Bush speak he is not over 100 this reeks of falsifying test scores can we have him retested. Great that you can get access to his IQ, maybe you could also find his military records.

Bush didn't get into Harvard, the National Guard and the presidency based on his ability. Where is the presidential IQ link?
