I would have continued this discussion to point out where you didn't answer the question until you thru in Fox News. That was an indicator that you can't have an adult conversation.

You are right, this thread was not even partisan in nature, the OP did not go with one side or the other or play the blame game.

[quote=Finn_Jarber;30701919]I think most people will experience hard times during their life. Such is life. They are called "rainy days". What can you do except prepare for it?[/quote

People usually had a little stash to prepare for "rainy days". The majority of people don't have the money to stash away for those "rainy days". And those "rainy days" didn't last for very long to the point that people lost hope.

You are the type who only focuses on the 13% because you think it makes your argument looks better and you refuse to even continue research that clearly shows the flaw in your argument

Disabled-worker statistics

Disability claims go up almost every year. OH, but lets pretend it doesnt for the sake of YOUR argument.
All time high under the great ONE. The more that depend on the government the more they can scare into how the mean old republicans will take their free ride away and thus garner votes. That is what it's all about. Why do you think the almighty ONE has been advertising in mehico about how to sign up for freebies when they legalize all the illegals? They will be able to vote and will want the freebies to continue of course.

If you think the employment picture is better now than prior then you have been playing too much golf too.

Well then people need to dust off their history books.
There was this event in the US called the Great Depression.

What are they hoping for ? A return to the good old days of asset bubbles ?
What if they don't come back ? What if what we have today is the new reality ?

And thank you for exposing yourself for what you are - a true democrat. You didn't even have the courage to address what Clinton did!!!

It's usually a good thing to read someone's status. Gives a bit of insight about the person.

It's a personal choice. There is always money to stash away, but people choose not to, and then they simmer in their misery and blame everyone except themselves.

Its always an all time high, thats the problem with your argument, each president that this program has been available under has reached an all time high .

Its obvious you didnt even look at what I posted because you would have noticed that claims went down this year.

Even with food stamps, claims are down compared to the previous year, but we still reached an all time high under the Obama presidency just as we did under Bush and under Clinton and under Bush before him, and Reagan before that.

You are proving my point with every post.

President Clinton did not start outsourcing. So you either need to specify your argument down to NAFTA(im assuming) or reword it.

We an agree on Glass Steagall, but why is it Republicans are reluctant to but it back into place, and you have to remember that it was also a Republican controlled congress that put it on his desk in the first place.

I think it's sad....actually it's disgusting-we are America, the land of success.....

Yes Bush started the free fall but let's be honest-Obama hasn't done sh** to make it better-
I've seen a lot of people who are hardworking lose EVERYTHING-and I've seen people not be touched-or have had a little blip (lay off) and are now more successful...but no one will look past themselves-if you believe a 7.8% unemployment rate-you are a fool. Also, people who are over 50, 1/2 will never be able to find decent employment again.

Yes I cannot stand Obama but I can't stand him because he hasn't done a thing to help this economy-blame, blame, blame....that's all he does
