This comment is on par with "if we evolved from monkeys then why are there still monkeys" in the debate world and usually reserved for tweens who don't know better.

I am having a hard time taking your question seriously since you've been around the block and have obviously read the answer to your question many times before. Why purposely make yourself look so ignorant? I know it's probably just to stir the pot but I'd like to hear your answer anyway. Really....you have never ever ever asked this ? and seen a response before?

But what about the illegals ? They don't come with their health records and schools have to take their word if they are past the age.

What makes you think "illegals" haven't been vaccinated? In the end the schools ONLY take the parents word....anyone can place a mark in the yellow card, I know I have when I left it home on vaccine day.

There's nothing. It's word of mouth and you think they are going to say "No" and have their kid turned away from school ?
Citizens is another story..they will refuse to let your kid come to school unless you get that record from your doctor.

Right. And here people are bashing those that openly say they don't vaccinate their kids.
To me it's a personal choice.

Don't vaccinate and you're taking a chance, a big chance seeing we have open borders and other countries are not as up to par as we are.

But if you got your shot you shouldn't be as worried. You're what..99% protected ?
I have my shots. I don't care if you got your shots or not..that's your business.

Vaccination debate is as rabid as the abortion debate.

Now I don't get the flu shot and try to keep my mouth shut about it because that debate is as bad as not getting your polio shot.

The HELL they don't! Have you ever worked in an immunization clinic? Doesn't sound like it. Many people DO bring their records with them. The rule of thumb is if they have no records, to reimmunize. As I showed yesterday, Mexico does a much better job than the US of getting kids immunized, so a lot of these immigrants, including the illegals, actually end up being over-immunized (which in general isn't a bad thing).

That should be obvious .... but I guess not.

Enough silly people have bought into this nonsense that the diseases are making a comeback. My children aren't at risk, but unlike some others, I feel a community concern for other children. No one benefits when we start having epidemics again.

Well, you have to keep in mind that to cons, they themselves are the the Most Important Person in the world. The community they live in, and what it might suffer if enough unvaccinated children start an epidemic, are of no concern to them. Thus they simply don't understand why the rest of us care.

No but I've been in the front office at school when a new family comes in to register their kids.
Citizens are treated differently than immigrants.

See..no one wants to talk logic. You all go rabid with your stories.

I have my shots and I'm really not concerned that you don't have yours.
That's your risk, not mine.

Wouldn't an epidemic only effect those that don't have their shots ?
Wouldn't that be what you want ? Eradicate those that don't get their shots ?

So again..if you have your shots why are you so worried about being in contact with those that didn't get shots ?

Thanks for proving my point. Being a con, you simply can't envision the disruption to an entire community if an epidemic erupts. I guess you wouldn't mind having public places shut down, schools closed, parents having to skip work to stay home with their kids, and all the economic blowback that would occur. You would be untouched by all that, naturally.

And as for your depraved suggestion that I want children to die, I consider that a personal attack of the worst kind.
