Regadless of anyone's personal feelings, you don't go blabbing this nations secrets to anyone.

He placed his personal morals above that of his country and that is despicable.
He did what he did in the service of his fellow countrymen knowing he risked his freedom and possibly his life when he found out the military and his government were corrupt.

That puts him on par with the Signers of the Declaration of Independence from where I sit.

He is pretty much a Hero

Former Military Here. This does not apply to the many men and women serving but the head honchos and politicians that set these polices.

"Our Government" and their tool the military are not protecting and working for the bests interests of the common American anymore.

We are less Free than ever despite all the wars in the past 30 years.
We are less safe for the same reason above, making more enemies as we go along.
Also, the average American has less wealth from these adventures due to the taxes being stolen from them.

The only ones these wars have benefited are the Traitorous Multi-National Corporations and Banks that owe no allegiance to any country, but have no problems dictating how our country and other countries should be run for their gain.

Anyone is a Hero that shines the light on these corrupt cockroaches that run this country.

All trumped up charges at the behest of the Obama administration. More hiding behind National Security, while making us the most insecure we've ever been. Germany and the EU aren't too happy with our spying on friendly nations apparently.

Bahhhh Bahhhh
Precisely!

Unlike the Keyboard Kommandos buying lots of guns and ammuntion and shooting their mouths off on C-D about how they are arming themselves to fight the corruption of the government because they don't like President Obama, Manning actually put his ass on the line and took direct action against activities that he knew were indefensible.

He is a genuine hero and should be recognized as such.

PERHAPS when the freaking government starts acting like we are all part of this nation, and not just their cronies at the top, then PERHAPS there will be something worth standing up for.

Obama has thrown the espionage act at 8 whistleblowers, including Snowden. That's to send a message to whistleblowers to keep their mouths shut. If anybody is a traitor to the people of this country, it is that clown in the White House.
I also heard that Seal Team 6 no longer exists because of how they were used and exposed by this administration.

Quote:
"The government kept Bradley Manning in a cage, stripped him naked and isolated him in order to break him, an act formally condemned by the United Nations Special Rapporteur for torture. This was never a fair trial," Assange said from inside the Ecuadorean Embassy in London, his home for more than a year.

Assange said WikiLeaks and Manning's own legal team would not rest until the judgment was overturned.

Dressed in a dark suit, Assange said Obama had initiated more espionage proceedings cases against whistleblowers and publishers than all previous U.S. presidents combined and had made a mockery of his own words in the process.

"In 2008, the then presidential candidate Barack Obama ran on a platform that praised whistleblowing as an act of courage and patriotism. That platform has by Barack Obama's actions been comprehensively betrayed," said Assange.

Assange had nothing but praise for Manning, holding up his behavior as a model of how to be a whistleblower.

"His actions as alleged are unquestionably heroic. He in that sense is an example for others to follow."

Is Obama controlling the Swedish authorities? He is wanted in Sweden for rape and molestations.
