Sounds like a government shutdown is coming. We've already hit the National Debt limit last May, governemnt big-spenders are draining all the Federal retirement accounts to keep buying the votes they need, and they even will run out of THAT cash in less than two months.

Some Republicans are talking about passing a Continuing Resolution to keep the government going, that does not provide funding for all the new functions and enforcement of Obamacare. Democrats have said they won't even consider such a thing.

Will the Democrats really shut down the Federal government over this issue?

Boehner: 'No decisions' made on whether House will defund Obamacare

There is a movement brewing among conservative Republicans to insist that the federal health care law known as Obamacare be defunded as part of an agreement to keep the government running. But House Speaker John Boehner on Thursday was noncommittal when asked if the House would pursue a bill that strips funding for the law.

"No decisions have been made on how we're going to proceed,” Boehner said at his weekly press briefing when asked if the House version of a continuing resolution to fund the government, which Congress must pass within the next two months to avoid a government shutdown, would include Obamacare funding.

Boehner doesn't need to "strip funding" from ObamaCare ...... Obama already did that with his "delays and waivers" - the U.S. Supreme Court did it with their Individual Mandate Tax and stopping ObamaCare from withholding Medicaid funds to States that did not set up exchanges.

The Congress should not be obligated to allocate funding to the parts of ObamaCare that Obama has already "stopped" with his manipulations. ObamaCare had 4 years of funding before it was even implemented ...... that should have been enough. If they chose to blow the money, instead of set up the programs - then Obama & HHS can deal with the consequences of their own actions.

It would be perfect timing, showing the American people just how self-centered and piggish Republicans are, just a year before the mid-term elections.

Will the Democrats take away ALL functions of government this time? Or just the "non-essential services"?

They will simply amend the act and take it to a joint conference. Boehner cannot actually prevent its passage unless he blocks the vote.

The Repubs lose this one no matter how they try and work it. And if it becomes a big deal the Repubs get slaughtered in 2014.

Honestly, I think the Republicans are going to shed seats in the House in 2014. So far, that's my prediction.

And that's exactly what the GOP wants them to do. Politics as usual in DC, how very refreeshing.

I hope they try it. It's unreal the pissy fit the right wingers are throwing over not getting their way (even though the ACA is a republican idea)
If they do, it will show again to the american people what a bunch of crybaby idiots the GOP are, and it will be yet another strong democratic win in 2014

You also didn't realize it will be insurance companies paying Obamacare claims.
