Another unexpected side effect of ramming thru legislation that the law-makers never read nor understood.

President Obama’s Affordable Care Act, known as “Obamacare,” will make it more difficult for parents of special-needs children to pay for tuition at special schools and to purchase medical equipment, according to a new report.

More than 30 million Americans place money into a pre-tax Flexible Spending Account (FSA) through their employers to help save emergency funds to pay for their families’ medical costs. Obamacare institutes a brand new $2,500 cap for FSAs, which will make more money taxable and could raise $13 billion in taxes for the federal government over the next decade.

Obamacare also hurts a small business attempting to grow beyond the 50 employee cap.

And we learned a few days ago how they count employees. It's not the number of full-time employees, when they start to punish you. The IRS counts up every employee's hours, and makes up virtual full-time employees out of the hours worked by the part-timers.

Plus Obamacare also targets poor seniors who may or may not get subsidized. If you are 61 and make 40,000 a year or as little as $20,000 a year, you pay a whopping $1,600 a month for your silver plan. If you are 50 and make a million a year and do not get subsidized and why should you, you pay only $10,000 a year for a plan. How do poor or marginal seniors trust this government to follow through with the subsidies. Many things he promised turned into dust...like keeping your insurance and your doctor.
We will be paying out our entire income for just insurance. We need to start over. The calculator that Kaiser Foundation put out is very entertaining. So the young are not bearing the burden after all, just the seniors and the barely middleclass working folks.

Or parents can just increase their tax exemptions, and then write off their special need medical spending on their tax forms.

Next pout-rage.

We need to abandon the whole thing and pretend 0bama and everything he's touched never existed. It would be a start.

Subsidy Calculator | The Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation

The calculator for the costs of insurance. It may be even more as they could not guarantee the price. Fun to play with.
