That's the important first step.

A lot of people will call themselves libertarians but they very much believe in huge government, they even insist that taxpayers should pay for free rehabs for the drug addicts and give them food stamps and housing if their addictions cause them to lose their jobs.

Are you familiar with Chicago or NYC? Would you call those cities libertarian? Stop and frisk seems like a pretty racist policy, but NYC has no intention of getting rid of it.

I honestly don't think I ever heard a libertarian advocating for discrimination or segregation. My understanding of libertarianism is simply limited gov intrusion into your personal life and it is a bit difficult to segregate without governmental interference.

One can argue and rightly so that Party hardliners are ones who are ideologically handicapped. They are the ones who will vote partyline every time rather than risk change, rather than accept that their candidate is either bad for the country or unqualified. They will argue based on party rhetoric. they will turn a blind eye to the misdeeds of their own and cry the loudest if someone from the opposing party commits the same misdeed.
The same people who cry about rich people paying their fair share in taxes were silent when Rangal was caught cheating on his.
The same people who cried about Bush spying make excuses for Obama.
I am no Libertarian, but one can not say it is the Libertarians who are handicapped unless they also include the hardliners from the 2 major parties.

You struggle with reading comprehension, don't you? What part of "used to be" or "I was" don't you understand?

Another aspect of libertarianism that rings racism is their lack of concern of minorities. Libertarian publications rarely if never address the police state that disproportionally impacts poor neighborhoods. When have you heard a famous libertarian speak about how poor people are disproportionally arrested and convicted by the criminal justice system? When have you heard a libertarian enraged by the Stop and Frisk policy in NYC? Never

They are only "liberty" advocates when it comes to business interest. They only want liberty for business community of white America.

So says you, eh? The above could be said about environmental/green party leaders as well, but that doesn't mean they are racist.

Cool.

Those online tests always tag me with Libertarian Socialist...which is ok...I guess.

Then again online tests have also told me I'm psychic, the nail polish that best describes me is pink, and that I was a chief minister in King Henry VIII's court in my previous life.

So ya never know with those things.

The Green Party has pretty extensive planks dealing with racism, as I recall from the last election cycle.

For the record, racism was not an issue I saw in libertarianism when I was immersed in it. It was rife within conservatism, but not libertarianism. As libertarianism has become chic for the right, it has attracted conservatives who want to be able to carry the label.

I would not call them well versed on economics with their extreme negativity and their belief in that idyllic poison known as Austrian Economics.
