This has been in the works for several months behind closed doors. It will happen.
Why would a proposal to a resolution take several months?
Good for you to have such faith, but really, a proposal to a resolution to form a committee? That takes ten minutes. Not months. Not to put a damper on your enthusiasm, but you do realize that it's really just a matter of months until we elect a new President. At the rate your "proposal to a resolution to form a committee" is going, we'll be seeing people announce their candidacy, the party's nominating their candidate, and a new President elected BEFORE we'll ever see a committee. This person who works for a Congressman is stringing you along, to keep you supporting the Congressman.
Oh, I'm behind you on this, Mr. B.--no one wants to see this come to pass more than me. But you've been promising and promising and promising that something would happen, and five years later the best you've got is a junior congressman with absolutely no clout saying he's looking into forming a committee to create a resolution? You can understand why I might be losing faith, can't you?
i thought "shrub" was directed at george w. bush, not george h.w. bush.
