I don't mind them not talking to the press, but Congress is different. Congress deals with sensitive subjects through various means and this could be done this way. Yes, this has become very politicized. The Obama administration has certainly had a role in making it so, by putting up barriers to the investigation, not being truthful etc. I'm sure it would have gone differently if they had met with leaders of Congress at the beginning and explained that there were sensitive issues of national security that needed to be handled differently. When they act as they did, the cover-up becomes the story to Congress and eventually the press.
yes that would have been great instead of blaming this on a video they outright lied not once but for weeks even locking up a flake who is still in jail no they did nothing honest and I get sicken at how people just do not even care
they are more interested in their TV shows or sports
This will finally come out it always does it just takes some time
Obama might be slick as dog snot but one day he will be found out
the thrill is gone for so many and he will not be able to hide for ever

I do agree his day is coming. Things have a way of catching up, tho those who feel they are sly. When they do, oh boy they really do.
Are you kidding, i have friends and some family who voted the clown in again. This time, they say they needed their heads examined, and are pissed off at themselves. For being fooled not once but twice.
The intent in which this adminsitration trys to push things under the rug, is just unbeleivable, sickening, and discerining. Things of non importance they make a big deal about, those things that are very concerning, they push or lie or are deceitful.
The most bullish, arrogant, thug, punk-ass adminstration ever, who get revenge, on those who seek out the truth.
The first and formost avenue of defense for this administration is that of lies and deceit. Whom many can see right thru, who are they kidding.
The most scandalous administration ever. Whose ideal of Hope n' Change was to have a thug mentality administration, who runs it any way they deem fit.
It is about damn sweet time that a new party emerge, that can kick both of the current ones, ASS! for these two, can't hold water. But one much worse off then the other.

The CIA shouldn't keep any secrets, everything should be disclosed and publicized so that the American public and also our enemies can see the details of exactly what they are doing in Libya.
By the way, your thread indicates CNN, could you supply the entire article they wrote rather than the Independent Journal Review.
You might consider that the CIA is an intelligence agency that deals in SECRETS. There's a technique to keeping SECRETS. It's called preventing the secrets from leaking. The CIA investigation in Benghazi is an ongoing one, presumably dealing with sensitive information. And as Benghazi is being used politically, the CIA would understandably be very interested in keeping the information of a highly politicized investigation contained.
There are repercussions when a political party takes an event and turns it into a political landmine. Some of the repercussions are unanticipated. Like how the determination of whether to close down an embassy gets taken out of an ambassador's hands and ends up in the hands of an administration that doesn't want to add fuel to the fire. So as a government, we end up overcautious, disrupt our embassy operations, and rack up the costs of maintaining those embassies and missions.
CIA personnel have always been subject to investigation by the CIA. And CIA personnel have always been charged with keeping the CIA's secrets just that, secrets. The ominous spin put on this is partisanship, pure and simple, and unreasonable as well.
The problem is the righteous indignation from the left.
Iran-Contra was bad. It was a program initiated by a right-wing US government to support anti-communist backed rebels against a communist backed government hell-bound on setting up shop directly outside our borders.
Clinton's arms funneling to Bosnia is good and the right thing to do to help out oppressed Muslims (AQ military networks) in a far off distant land in direct contravention to UN arms embargo.
Obama's funneling of arms (to AQ military backed networks) is good and the right thing to do to help out those opposed Muslims in a far-off distant land.
You still hear and see left-wing ideological nutjobs continuing to bring up Iran-Contra and refusing to see that their own most favored leaders aren't just funneling arms, they're funneling them to anti-American factions of AQ.
So, you have two parties after each other's throats. One created a law to punish a right-leaning US government from funneling arms to pro-American anti-communist regimes. The other party says there's "nothing to see here" as they funnel arms to anti-American terrorist groups in a far off distant land.

Help me out here...
One distinct difference, the Nicaraguan government wasn't murdering the opposition and your statement that a communist government was setting up shop right outside our borders has nothing to do with facts. You can argue that we should have nothing to do with places like Bosnia where they were actually murdering each other but to compare them to Nicaragua is a giant leap.
I wonder if the left still thinks this is just a "phony scandal"
The congress cannot even interview the dozens of CIA people who were at Benghazi that night. Seems more like a full-throat cover up to me. I have no clue why the congress would convene a couple independent counsels and start serious investigations, with an experienced, criminal prosecutor running the show.
