"I understand she may feel that way toward blacks. She doesn't have to advertise it," said next-door neighbor Andre Sherman, who is black. "The whole spirit of Halloween is for the kids."
Sherman, 30, and his family moved in next door in January. He fears what may happen if a black child runs up to the home because Martinez has been seen carrying a rifle in her yard and yelling racial slurs.
She'd better move then. The only large concentration of blacks IS IN Northeast El Paso. East side too, although not quite as many.

The worst part about it is many "Mexicans" ARE part Black but don't wanna face it, especially the real dark skin ones with curly hair.
Amnesty for millions of Mexicans will be a nightmare especially for the black underclass in America, most of whom not only have to struggle daily against their own violent gang culture, but the outside mainstream culture that rejects them, and now against a flood of immigrants of every racial stripe who continue to out-perform them for every school desk opening and every low- or middle-wage job available.
And the Democrats are bending over backwards to please these brown illegals who cannot speak English yet they don't do the same for black Americans who consistently vote for them. Why aren't the Democrat blacks outraged by this obvious racial favoritism?
Their policy of refusing to speak up against Obama and the Democrats is killing them.
Not sure about this article at all. Plenty so-called "blacks" in NYC are West Indians/from the Caribbean and are very happy within their own communities. As usual, many other Americans have difficulty seeing beyond color and do not understand that much of this has to do with many in NYC being part of certain cultural communities.
And why is "integration" defined so narrowly? Do these people not understand that "minority dominated" neighborhoods in NYC ARE usually extremely integrated? These people tend to come from backgrounds in many different nations, with many different traditions and learn to live in communities together. As usual though, the typical American can understand nothing but color/broad labels when it comes to some groups.
This is a joke right. First off America is a huge nation geographically. Black Americans only make up 13% officially of the US population, that might be more if you count some black hispanics, but the point remains, that 8 out of 10 Americans are not black.
This means as of now there are going to be a lot of places with not many black people. That's not tragic. It terms of big cities, I think many black Americans are leaving cities up north and in the midwest and heading either for the suburbs or cities in the south.
NYC is a lot more racially and ethnically diverse than conservative areas like Utah or Oklahoma
That's only true for Queens and the Bronx, aside from those boroughs NYC is the most segregated city in the USA. Detroit might be slightly more segregated.
Correction: NYC is the 4th most segregated city. Lawton, OK is the 6th most diverse city and the most diverse city is Jacksonville, NC.
I have noticed this same trend. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.
