Odd how he didn't mention the sequester was his gdam idea in the first place. Sequester for thee but not for me is his mantra. All the fault of somebody else too of course.

“It’s hurting our military. I made it clear that your veteran’s benefits are exempt from this year’s sequester,” the president said to the applause of hundreds at the Disabled American Veterans' convention in Orlando, Fla. “But I want to tell you going forward the best way to protect the VA care you have earned is to get rid of this sequester altogether.” The president but the blame squarely on Congress, which returns in about four weeks to work on a new federal budget and increasing the federal debt limit.
“We’ve got these reckless, across-the-board budget cuts called the sequester that are hitting a lot of folks hard,” Obama said. “Congress needs to come together and agree on a responsible plan that reduces our deficit and keeps our promises to our veterans and keeps our promises to future generations.”

Wonder if any of his crooked golfing buddies are along for the trip?

"WASHINGTON — Another one of President Obama’s golfing pals is in the rough.Dr. Eric Whitaker, a longtime Obama friend from Chicago who has golfed his way through Obama’s term in office — including at a round for the president’s 52nd birthday last week — is cooperating with the feds as they probe a $433,000 kickback scheme.
Whitaker’s former chief of staff at the Illinois Health Department is under investigation for allegedly taking kickbacks starting in 2006. Whitaker ran the department from 2003 to 2007."

"Another Obama golf pal, high-school friend Bobby Titcomb, was arrested in 2011 on suspicion of soliciting a hooker in an undercover sting in Honolulu. But Obama still invited him him to golf afterward."

Obama has taken about 90 days of vacation during his time in office, at this point in Bush's tenure he had taken about 300 days of vacation. I don't recall conservatives minding how much Bush vacationed.

Just more over the top hyperbolic complaining about nothing from the kooky right.
I suppose if he were vacationing in Branson, MO there wouldn't be as much hand wringing from the whackos?

Yes, Obama is using scare tactics for his own sequester policy that blew up in his face due to his poor leadership.

I criticize his policies often and his hypocrisies and lies as much as anyone on here.

However, isn't this just more of Obama being in over his head, an inexperienced executive?

When we elected Obama he had ZERO executive experience. Even as a professor he had ZERO executive experience. He had no student classes to manage and no papers to assign and grade. He was solely a lecturing professor.

So we, America, elected someone with ZERO executive experience to the highest executive office in the world. Aren't we assuming and telling him that the presidency is an "on the job training" type of job by the very act of electing someone like him? I think we have to expect and ignore a certain level of ineptness in how he acts as an "executive."

Now that doesn't mean we can't blame him for his constant stream of lies, flip flops and hypocrisy. But isn't almost cruel to put someone with no executive experience into the top executive office in the world and expect him to act like an experienced executive?

He's had 4.5 years of 'on the job training' so far, how much does he need? At what point does 'lack of experience' stop being an excuse?

Here's a radical idea for Obama, how about instead of cutting benefits that vets earned the government cuts some entitlements that others did not earn? It couldn't be because most military people vote R could it? Or even better be honest about how these "cuts" aren't even cuts but are simply reductions in increases. It's pathetic how these politicians are crying about drastic cuts and still spending more than last year.

First, military officers might vote R but not the front-line people.
Second, you seem to be advocating cutting the poor, the unemployed and those who want to go to college. Why, because it's more important to maintain tax-cuts for the wealthy?

Not only are you wrong, you're very wrong.
