Israel Outlaws Water Fluoridation | LiveScience

Israel is one of the few countries that widely fluoridates, besides the United States, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand and Australia.

Israel's Supreme Court has ruled that water fluoridation in the country must end by 2014.

Its a shame that weird chemicals are in literally everything we consume in this country. I hope America does the same. I mean, come on humans have been drinking natural water for thousands of years. Why do we need to put chemicals in it these days?

We have hundreds (literally) of chemicals in our water from industry and farming and golf courses.
Why are you concerned only about fluoride?

I'd be more worried about the cyanide, hormones, petrochemicals and aldehydes - known carcinogens.

Drinking Water Contaminants | Drinking Water Contaminants | US EPA
Chemicals and Contaminants in Drinking Water
EWG Tap Water Database 2009
The public has reason to be concerned. Between 2004 and 2009, water suppliers across the U.S. detected 316 contaminants in water supplied to the public. The list of detected contaminants includes:
•97 agricultural pollutants, including pesticides and chemicals from fertilizer- and manure-laden runoff;
•204 industrial chemicals from factory discharges and consumer products;
•86 contaminants linked to sprawl and urban areas or from polluted runoff and wastewater treatment plants;
•42 pollutants that are byproducts of the water treatment processes or that leach from pipes and storage tanks.

See all detected contaminants, by frequency of occurrence.

There's different kinds of fluorides in nature. The fluoride in the municipal water supply is, supposedly, from industrial sources, not nature. My municipal water is fluoride-free and has been for a very long time, if it ever added it in the first place, and nobody has tooth problems here. I also grew up with well water, but I never drank from the faucet and always drank fluoride-free water. No dental problems here

What about fluoride treatments at the dentist office? Will those also be outlawed? How about fluoride in toothpaste?

Flouride should stay in the water, so our teeths remain healthy, intact and in place! After all, we fought a revolution to break away from England.

Well, that should give General Turgidson some relief about the sanctity of his bodily fluids if he visits the holy land.
