Well....in your eager salivation to present a dissenting rebuttal that you thought to be tenable....you failed to read what I said properly. I said nothing about "Posters". Correct me if I am wrong...or admit, by silence, that YOU are wrong because your premise is a straw man.

You DO realize that Detroit would NEVER have been what it once was without those evil corporations.

Maybe the greedy liberal elites like Oprah with her $40, 000 purses, or Chelsea Clinton in her $10, 000, 000 apartment, or some of those filthy rich liberal holleywood bimbos who pretend to care in their $60, 000 designer outfits.

woops, too late.

in post #25, you cited the OP as an example of a poster who had done so, in response to query.

consider yourself corrected.

You don't have to look far.

Things like this (and the OP knows because he is fixated on crime perpetuated by black people) happen everywhere. Detroit does have a higher than normal crime rate, but to think that other gas stations aren't being robbed all over the country is ridiculous.
You said you did well on the GMAT? Must have did pretty well on the non-reading comprehension questions.

Where did I say Detroit's demise was due to trashing gas stations? One if the reasons cited for Detroit's demise is the lack of businesses. This post just highlights how the few remaining businesses are treated in Detroit and why many leave and choose not to invest there.

Well they do say 50% of Detroit's residents are functionally illiterate.

THIS is post #25 (see it embedded in the following URL) Detroit: Looks like another business is about to leave thanks to bash mob

That post has nothing to do with me.

my mistake. it was post 28.

hilarious that you accuse others of constructing straw men, when your endless complaining about something that never happened [anyone insinuating this sort of thing is in any way unique to detroit] is the very apotheosis of straw man tactics.

in summary, no one - not the OP, nor any other posters, nor the store owner - stated or even implied that this is unique to detroit.

my gosh, your need to feel defensive about detroit is really something to behold...

Didn't we just see that on a nationwide scale back in November 2012?

You were sarcastic in your original OP sentence, hence the "" as if the "Big 3" weren't really the reason for "Detroit's bankruptcy." Also, your topic is "looks like another business is about to leave thanks to bash mob." So you are equating "bash mobs" with the reason why Detroit is having financial problems. You were actually the only poster who did this, the others just jumped on your band wagon of Detroit bashing.

See, I have VERY good reading, comprehension, and inference skills. Also, of course I would do well with reading, I was a liberal arts major, I only studied for math since I forgot some math concepts and luckily lots of studying and classes paid off for bringing my math back up to par.
