I always love these comments that include "I'm sure". How are you sure? Provide some documentation!
Common sense!!!! But don't let that stop you!!!!! from posting your !!!!!!!.

One doesn't need to provide documentation when one says I'm sure!!!!!!! When someone says something definitive, as in "I know" or makes a claim or statement as fact, then it's OK to ask that they provide documentation!!!!!!

GOT IT?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Property?

For Bush, Happy Trails to Crawford - Washington Post

Quote:
This week, the president is spending what are expected to be his final days at his family ranch, a craggy 1,583-acre estate here in the Texas heartland
Do you realize how big 1,583 acres is?

An acre is almost the size of an entire football field.

Now imagine 1,583 football fields all connected together.

Disneyland is only 160 acres in total, which is 1/10th the size of Bush's ranch!

For Bush, Happy Trails to Crawford - Washington Post

Quote:
Whether or not the property was bought for political reasons, there is little doubt that Bush enjoyed visiting. He is on his 77th trip to the ranch, and if he leaves on New Year's Day, as planned, he will have spent 490 of his 2,922 days in office there, said Mark Knoller of CBS News, an unofficial record-keeper of the president's travels.
Also take note how quick Bush was ready to move away from Crawford in December 2008?

And how thoughtful of him to purchase that ranch back in 1999 just in time for his run for president!

Quote:
In 1999, a year before he became President, shortly after earning a $14.3 million profit from the sale of the Texas Rangers, former Texas Governor Bush bought the land for an estimated $1.3 million from the Engelbrecht family. Assisting Bush in arrangements for the purchase was the then Texas Secretary of State Elton Bomer.[2]

I'm not going to bother reading all 18 pages of partisan political bashing, but I wonder...

Has anybody compared taxpayer dollars spent? What is the current vacation costing us?
Did Bush or Reagan or any other president ASK for, get, and sign a Sequester Bill, then spend lots of dollars for vacations?

Well your guy George W. Bush racked up a total of 323 vacation days at this point in his presidency compared to Obama's 95 days.

Reagan at this point took 180 days.

Clinton at this point took only 84 days.

So the next time you complain about Obama's vacation time ... you should first take a look at the time spent by the guys YOU put into office!

Watch the video here:

And Bush's number may even be higher than reported above:

Critics bash Obama's plans for vacay

Yeah, we all know this about lazy Bush. Too many on the right side don't want to hear it. Bush is not in office anymore blah blah blah. He took all that time off because Cheney was the acting prez.

Obama Not the 1st President to Miss Memorial Day at Arlington
Radio and TV talker Glenn Beck (on May 25) said, "Obama is skipping out on a Memorial Day ceremony at Arlington Cemetery because he'll be in Chicago on vacation." On his show, Beck incorrectly asserted that the president "has decided not to honor our troops on Memorial Day." . . . Mr. Obama will participate today in a ceremony at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois, about 50 miles south of Chicago. He is not the first president to be away from Washington on a patriotic holiday. . . The critics were either ignorant of the facts or they failed to mention the 2007 Veterans Day ceremony when Vice President Dick Cheney spoke while President George W. Bush observed the holiday in Texas.
I really don't care.!!!! I wasn't the one who brought up the outrage!!!!!

YOU brought up the outrage which was off base. I pointed out what the outrage was about, and it wasn't because of what you claimed.

How about kicking back to the government some of the cost of his tours along with the family in Africa?

How about he reimburse the government for using government transport for his weekend golf games?

Here's a list of Obama and/or family vacations. I wonder what they would add up to.

How Much Will The Obama Daughters' Latest Bahama Atlantis Vacation Cost American Taxpayers? | Opinion - Conservative

If you can say that Obama works while on vacation, then it's safe to say that GWB did as well - and did so from his compound and not from an IPad.

I think at the end of Obama's term and all the accounting is completed, more than likely Obama will come out ahead in the spending category.

And you keep telling yourself that Obama is making the same sacrifice that he is asking you and every other American to make.
The WH was never closed to tours because of a lack of funds during Bush's term.....

Ahhh. You're just annoyed that you don't have Romney to kick around. You'll get your chance to kick a republican around as we roll up to 2016.

I do not agree with the 1st lady and kids going off on their own separate vacation either on the taxpayer dime.
and the nanny, and the kids with all their friends and escorts.
W went to his own property, while these ingrates pad the palm of their cronies.
I think it would be obvious if we could see how much it cost to send W for a few days at the ranch, compared to vacations by our current ultra-extravagent elitists. The Obama's seem to love throwing our money away and laughing in our faces about it.
