Do you know how many religious zealots have been at my door claiming I'm going to hell if I don't believe in god.....please. But I do believe in god because that was how I was raised. I just believe in evolution so its complicated lol
Funny. We decidedly live in the bible belt and have never had that problem in the fur years since we moved here. Kinda funny since we're decidedly in Baptist and fundamentalist territory and I'm Catholic and my wife's Buddhist. But neither of us wears our faiths on our sleeves. We're simply comfortable with our own beliefs.
I guess you can't understand what you read unless you just quote things you didn't read. What part of what I posted don't you get? Never mind I guess it's only religious folks can understand it.
The part where you cite poor immune systems, high blood pressure, smoking and drinking as signs of mental illness.
Didn't Jesus drink wine? Didn't god give us tobacco and salt (which increases high blood pressure)
Let's settle this once and for all. Hey God! Big doofus in the sky! I reject you. Kill me tonight. If I don't post tomorrow then it proves you exist to all these non believers.

If my husband had to pick a religion it would be Buddhism. Does your wife practice her faith. And I could never live in the bible belt. lol

You asked if certain things were signs of mental illness. I gave you the definition which fit some of your habits. As for Jesus I don't know I wasn't round back then. the earth gave us tobacco and salt and grapes for wine too. What is your point? If you use it and it causes "disorders in which a person's thoughts, emotions, or behaviour are so abnormal as to cause suffering to himself, herself, or other people" then that would be considered a mental illness. Why is that so hard for you to understand?
How is your life stress free with all these reports of these religions zealots beating down folks doors to get them to conform I keep hearing about?
Not sure what you're referring to but I said my life is stress free for the most part. The only time I really worry about what a zealot has to say is when they try and shove their beliefs down my throat. Then I have to put them back in their place.
I was referring to the posters above telling their war stories about the constant zealots pounding on their doors day and night trying to get them to conform.
How do you put them back in their place? You beat em up?
Since god is the creator, I guess he just gave me thunderous, pungent gas.
