Data, please. We won't settle for mere speculation and opinions that require one to strap on a tinfoil helmet to process. Prove that illegal immigration is up solely because of a promised amnesty

Illegal immigration is not down. There may be a bit less from Mexico, but illegals are coming from other Central American nations in ever higher numbers.

From Mexico, their tactics have changed. The word is out now that all they have to do is show up at a legal port of entry and make the claim that they must seek political asylum. They are then allowed to enter and go where they please. Asylees get government handouts right off the bat.

Not really true since I've heard lots of "Mexican" kids born in the US talking away in Spanish here in Arizona and I'm sure many of those kids were born here.

It's up. Considerably up, only they're using another approach.

Mexicans using asylum 'keywords' to cross U.S. border: Officials - Washington Times

So many Mexicans at the Otay crossing near San Diego have entered the United States in recent days by using “keywords and phrases” — specifically, “credible fear” of repercussions from drug lords — that the border processing center shut down, officials said.

On Aug. 5 alone, Border Patrol agents said about 200 people attempted to cross the border, citing “credible fear” of the drug cartels, a Fox News affiliate in Phoenix reported.

Once into the USA, they'll either be given asylum --- which comes with very generous government handouts or they'll stay and wait for their amnesty which of course will come with very generous government handouts.

They sure aren't coming for jobs when their own country's unemployment rate is under 5% and ours is closer to 10%.

Not good at all since almost all 2 or more language countries blow apart unless 1 language is by far the most important and widely spoken. In the US, English is the biggest thing that joins us together tho Spanish and other words do become part of English.

English is the language of money and so on. Spanish ain't real important in business since I'm gonna say that most LatAm business people speak English. Too; LatAm's birthrate is falling off a cliff so they'll be less and less native Spanish speakers soon.

Latin America -- if you mean Argentina and Chile might not have sky high birth rates but most of our hispanics are coming from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras --- nations with very high birth rates and high teen birth rates.

The other problem -- those who are responsible about having children can remain living in their own countries, we're getting the very impoverished and illiterate classes that have many children they can never afford --- that's the number one reason for them to flock here, we provide food stamps and all kinds of handouts for those who have many children they cannot afford.

Uh; I don't think we have over 100 million Spanish speakers here, that's Mexico's thing with its 110 million.

Not likely IMHO.
