The average age of an HIV patient in San Francisco is now over 50.

It might interest you to know that in every big city in America, there are active, volunteer-driven charities, in most cases founded and run by gay men (but now serving everyone), that help diagnose, counsel, and treat people with HIV/AIDS. They're a great example of a community taking care of its own.

Every year, more than 2000 people ride bicycles from San Francisco to LA as part of the world's largest HIV/AIDS fundraiser. Last year it raised more than $14 million.

Kum ba ya indeed.

I don't think you understand. Those guys & many conservatives like them don't give a s*it about HIV/AIDS because they view it strictly as a gay virus. They can't fathom that they could possibly contract it as well. They basically view it as karma for gays, deserved karma. Which is why I challenged them to inject themselves with some AIDS-infected blood, see what happens.

Actually there are two groups, one that believes HIV does cause AIDS and is a punishment from God, etc., and another that believes that HIV does not cause AIDS and all of those people died in the 80s and 90s from drug use or whatever.

The two groups do overlap, but they're not identical.

Number of people ever cured = 0

And, with the dumbing down of children through social media and the regression of the public school system...we can't rely on this generation being more critical thinkers...can we?

Actually, 14 people have been cured.

It is a tragedy that HIV awareness has fallen off as this most likely helps to account for the rising rates of infection among teenagers and young adults. Women and men of color have the highest rising rates of infection.

When the wonder drugs became readily available, concern dropped. One pill a day keeps one healthy. With out the dramatic illness and death rates, visibility has decreased. It's a problem that needs to be addressed before infections rise even more.

Yea, but go ahead and tell me how this awful disease came about because they "accidentally" administered gorilla vaccine to Africans. LOL

Sorry if I believe the doctors and world renown virologists that are pointing out this was just a multi-billion dollar windfall for big pharma as opposed to the big chimp folklore.
Sorry but there are more world renown virologists, doctors, and researchers that believe AIDS than in your silly video.

By the way, when did documentaries become evidence?

Even more ironic is that people rail against capitalism as the ideology of greed...but medicine is impervious to the pitfalls of paper chasing. As if Merck cares about us more than Monsanto.
Anything that involves humans is corruptible. If you want to hid behind your cynicism instead of real facts then suit yourself.

Of course, because they are FDA regulated right? I guess our gov cares...about as much as they cared about the Tuskeegee guinea pigs or the Rangalapese of the Marshall Islands, right?
No because that is what the actual evidence shows. You can throw out as many strawmen as want but the evidence is clear.

By the way, are you some sort of science major or just an arm chair science major who knows how to google?

How about those armchair constitutional scholars?? Do they tickle you pink too?
More so than you. Everybody is an expert nowadays.

More so than you, since apparently you post documentaries as evidence.

Evidence of what?

That members of the medical scientific community refuse to have alternative discussions? That they won't admit the HIV hypothesis has failed the scientific method? That they fudged AIDS statistics IMMENSELY in Africa?

These are all facts....

Whether you believe they indicate HIV to be a scam is up to you.

No. It doesn't matter how many times you post the same thing, it won't make it so.
