This has nothing to do with whether you think Obamacare (the law) is wonderful or horrible.
A navigator is a federal employee who helps those wanting to get insured, navigate the paperwork of the new healthcare system. HHS is not going to be doing background checks or fingerprinting navigators or the people that assist navigators due to time constraints. Navigators will have access to personal and private information, tax return data and social security information. The concern is identity theft.
Well usually someone dealing with sensitive financial information has a background check and fingerprint check done.
I've read that they don't have time to do this.
People will be showing up with their tax returns, paycheck stubs, social security cards, etc.
And these are the last people that need to worry about identity theft.

(By the way, you may be interested to know that the background checks on any federal employee are not typically completed before they are hired.)
What could possibly go wrong? HHS is not going to be doing this work because they are dysfunctional.
They are going to farm it out to a real mishmash of "community organizers". I'm so glad I don't have to deal with any of this stuff. 3 years to set it all up and HHS still can't do it.
Are You Okay With No Background Checks For Obamacare Workers?
I'm against workers for any unconstitutional program, whether they have background checks or not.
A common tactic of the left, when trying to implement a flagrantly illegal program, is to put in a few small details people won't like. Then they get people arguing over whether those small details should be permitted in the program or not, thus avoiding argument over whether the program itself should be thrown out.

I noticed that as well..community organizers instead of health organizations.
I question why a migrant worker organization that works along the border towns is getting near $600K to help enroll applicants.
Will they be shifting their focus off of migrant workers and concentrate on citizens wanting to enroll now ?
Almost like an ACORN-like government funded program.
The drive to get people into the Obamacare system.
Sounds like another reason we're happy we're not going to be enrolling in Obamacare.
