Do you believe its the governments job now to make sure everyone has a living?
Government? Government is just a representation of the people. Ultimately, especially in Switzerland, it will be the people approving or rejecting that idea in a referendum. The Swiss are not stupid, they know that the money will come from them one way or another. But maybe they will approve of that idea anyway, if they are convinced of its advantages and maybe even necessity (for instance age-related).
The Swiss are different from Americans as they are thinking and planning ahead, not just reacting.
Good. Ship all the liberals to Switzerland and they can live in the utopia they so desire.
I would nominate somewhere between 43-47% of the current US population (depending on which surveys you believe) and at least 10M who speak with a South-of-the-Border accent.
Works for me. I'd love to live in Switzerland. Ultra wealthy, clean, safe, doesn't engage in war, universal healthcare, some of the highest quality of living on the planet, stunning natural environment, and easily accessible to the rest of Europe.
As for the United States, its billionaires come in 16th in terms of average net worth, wedged between more recent upstarts Ireland and Brazil. America’s 442 billionaires, by far the most in the world, are worth more than $4.2 billion on average.
$4.2 billion * 442 = $1.86 trillion
$1.86 trillion / 314 million = $5,912.10 for every man, woman and child in the USA.
That would fund the $2,700 per month plan for two months and then what?
Yes, that sounds like that would solve all our problems doncha think
Just like in the US, plus you have additional masters, like your corporate masters...
They are all corporate masters, just different corps. Municipal vs Transnationals.
