Had the kid been carrying with concealed carry, he could have dispatched all of them, as they only had a .22 cal "pop gun". One of my kids go to college on the edge of a rough neighborhood- he carries while jogging.
With the failure of our "justice system" and the growing discontent among the public about segments of the population gone wild, eventually individual citizens will take action themselves. Vigilanty acts are the bastard spawn of a failed justice system.

Yes, I agree something was VERY wrong with at least one of these kids and all three had problems. Mkilling someone isn't the act of a bord teen...its the act of a sick teen.

Yeah smart guy, intent and motivation is STILL a part of sentencing ALL THE TIME in non-hate crime contexts, and you often can't separate the charge from intent.

Yes, and I have now stated a couple times that it should not be. I have a problem with sentencing for many other crimes in which "intent" is used to exact a more severe sentence. Someone asked about the concept of punishing people to a greater degree based upon their motivations and intentions, and I gave my opinion on it.
