What does it say about violence in the United States when your defense is a reference to a place on the verge of civil war, which has seen tourists killed by the dozens over the years?

If you want to make this about violence in the US that's one thread, but in this thread tourists to the United States are hardly under the gun.
I think we'd all agree that murder is no way to treat your guests.
There have been several cases of tourists to the US being brutally murdered in recent years, so, I guess some caution is warranted. I can't really blame anyone who decides to skip the US or decline to buy US products as a result.
Yes we shouldn't change anything in the US, why make it difficult for minors with a background to acquire guns. Why were 3 minors riding around with guns. The gun culture in the US is absolutely ridiculous.

Homicides peaked in raw numbers at 385 in 1999, and have fallen quite a bit since then, with 274 cases in 2011. Combined with Australia's population increase, the per capita rate would have fallen even further. 274 murders for a population of 22 million in 2011 is a rate of 1.25 per 100,000. The 385 murders for a population of 19 million in 1999 represented a rate of 2.03.
So it looks like the murder rate has been cut in half in Australia since the late 90's. The US rate of 4.7 in 2011 is about 3.8 times as high.

Everyone knows that Jesse and Al and pretty much every black commentator that came out of the woodwork to be interviewed for their thoughts on the Trayvon murder will all of a sudden disappear if you try and interview them for this story.
Its because many blacks only want to be seen as victims and only want to stir the race pot when THEY are wronged in some way. But when their fellow blacks are the perpetrators/aggressors in what could be considered a race crime, they stay as silent as a mime. Most blacks will NEVER mention that blacks commit more crime against non-blacks than the reverse because then how could you ever again claim that blacks are the victim of racially motivated crimes when they're the ones that commit the majority of 'race crimes'?
And the parents of these kids who defend them even after its clear their kids committed this heinous crime is PRECISELY why so many black kids grow up to be thugs and why black communities everywhere are violent and in such a state of disarray. If black parents could ever raise their kids right then maybe things might just change for the better in their communities, but it doesn't seem like that will EVER happen and so the cycle of violence will never be broken and will go on forever.

More than 50% of all murders in the U.S. are committed by blacks: FBI — Expanded Homicide Data. Why aren't more people talking about that statistic? It seems a lot more relevant than "gun control", especially when most of the people who commit these crimes get their weapons illegally in the first place. A country like Australia doesn't have the demographics that we do in the U.S. Give them tens of millions of minorities and they'll change their perspective.
Where is Al Sharpton? Where is Jesse Jackson? President Obama? HYPOCRISY!
