It's been more like an extended spring here in northeast Ohio. Yesterday was the first time it was in the 80s since like mid to late July. One more day of warmth then a cold front is coming through, and highs back in the mid to upper 70s. It's been a strange year, and given that we've had 1 mild winter with below normal snowfall, and this past winter which was colder than the previous with even less snowfall... I'm dreading this one coming up! We are also starting to see some fall colors around here.
Heat usually causes rain... in the afternoons. Where did all the moisture go?
Is there not enough dust and carbon blown this way in the sky as their once was, for moisture to collect on? Has the jet stream changed?
Global Warming has the unfortunate affect of moving climate zones, meaning areas that were once dry are now very dry and areas that had moderate temps and rainfall all of a sudden tend to get even wetter. Is mankind responsible or even partly responsible, some say so some say not, but no matter who is right on the matter it does not mean that we should not be doing the best we can to not pollute and abuse the planet or do things that can possible affect the climate when we can avoid doing so. We do not own the planet we are only the caretakers, do a good job or one day there will be nothing to handoff to the next set of caretakers.
Ah, the common belief of the ignorant mob and climate change deniers.
Record cold temperatures in certain areas does not negate that the average temperature is rising. Last year was one of the 10 hottest since global average temperatures have been recorded.
Not in Texas, we are still in a 10 year drought and temps are as high as they ever have been.
Ignoring science is fine so long as you are not running anything, so no harm done.
surely you arent talking about Dallas because this summer has been wet and mild. we had one week of truely hot weather. \
I live here and have to cut my grass twice a week (no I am not over watering)
I have had zero days of worrying about my foundation.

yet, last year we heard the Warmists screeching about the number of hot records that were set.
why is it ok for warmists to talk about warm records, but only ignorant boobs would talk about record cool temperatures?

That makes way too much sense.
One would think that those who are conservative would want to error on the side of caution. But no, they want to stick their heads in the ground, deny anything is wrong and not take the slightest precautions in case they are wrong.
[sarcasm]Yeah, dumping millions of tons of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere year after year can't possibly have any effect. [/sarcasm]

Talking point alert!
He is giving the "Trenberth" excuse made recently.
We can confidently say that the risk of drought and heat waves has gone up and the odds of a hot spot somewhere on the planet have increased but the hotspot moves around and the location is not very predictable.
Do you know much about Trenberth? Probably not...
He is the guy that said it was a travesty they couldn't find that missing heat in the climategate emails. you know, the emails where all of these "experts" were talking about since they couldn't establish it in the science, they needed to make it political?
That said, notice how he claims "risk of drought" (how do you determine such, very unscientific of him) and "heat waves" have gone up (actually, this one is verifiable, but.. well... his claim is false, they aren't unprecedented). See how he also "excuses" the fact that he has no evidence to support his claims? He talks about "hot spots" that "move around" like they are some sneaky little villain that keeps eluding him and how he excuses that claim by saying "not very predictable".
Anyone who can accept this as evidence, as reason... well... they are either an idiot, or they are deviously biased.
This is why these guys are sinking fast and people are stepping away from them. They are not "scientists", the are political activists promoting policy change for their political ideal. People are starting to see right through them.
