The red line was stepped over in March.
But Obama ignored it.
OK, so now we are getting to the crux of this.
Obama made the comment, they used chemical weapons, but we not bomb them. Then they used chemical weapons again, and we outright threatened to bomb them.
So, according to you, we should have bombed them in March? Or we should not have bombed them? Or we should bomb them now? Or we should never bomb them? Which is it? I'm getting dizzy trying to figure out exactly what you people want.
I think they may just SHIP THEM BACK TO IRAQ or even to Iran....I recall when we attacked Iraq they had already been seen shipping hundreds of trucks filled with "stuff" across to Syria.. Time to send it back
The Russians have broached a deal to the Syrian government that would see their chemical weapons sequestered by an international force and then destroyed. The Syrian foreign minister has expressed interest.
Has the Russian initiative cut the ground out from under Obama's initiative to bomb Syria, and, thus, made the U.S. look blundering in not being able to resolve the situation without the threat of military force.?
Convergence of interests. Russia has a clear interest in not losing a good customer for their military hardware - also, it would look bad if their showcase SAM products were shown to not do exactly what it said on the box. Assad has a clear interest in not having bombs dropped on him, his generals and all that lovely Russian hardware.
We'll see how it comes out. Interesting idea, though.
Why would this thread, which has absolutely nothing to do with George W. Bush, be any exception to this never ending standard from the Obomots?
Oh, it sure as hell does have to do with Bush, because we invaded Iraq over fantasy WMD. We fought a war over WMD. And that is what we are staring at right now.
You know, it makes me like him less when you include his middle name. It sounds kind of Muslimy. Hmm. Maybe I should have voted for the Marquis de Mittens instead.
FDR
JFK
LBJ
GWB
Why is it that people only seem to object when it comes to BHO?
This goes back to my theory about the Syria issues. To the derp wing of the Republican Party this is about making Obama look bad. It's not about the chemical weapons being used on civilians.
