[i]A middle-aged man in a red golf shirt shuffles up to a small folding table with gold trim, in a booth adorned with a flotilla of helium balloons, where government workers at the Kentucky State Fair are hawking the virtues of Kynect, the state’s health benefit exchange established by Obamacare.

The man is impressed. "This beats Obamacare I hope," he mutters to one of the workers.

Daily Kos: Calling the Affordable Care Act "Obamacare" Just Exacerbates Public Confusion, So Stop Doing It
Amusing to witness the right wing having convusions and seizures over the positive impact and the long term benefits that many people will receive and how popular The ACA will prove to be.

Not so much Obama's "Waterloo" after all.

Well I guess Obamacare will be a resounding success because someone in their mid twenties can continue to muche off their parents even longer.

The excerpt is about a middle aged man...btw, but I'll bet so many parents hate providing healthcare coverage under their plans for their kids that otherwise would not have had any insurance options available. I think you meant "mooch".

All that aspect of Obamacare did was extend insurance to a group that doesn't get sick.
The kids would have plenty of options available if they choose to pay for them. Now we are just making everyone pay for them instead of the end users because it makes us feel good.

The admin continues to let the handouts hit the streets while giving waivers to the parts that are going to hurt until after 2014. Nothing can save them in 14 and it all comes to a head in 16

stand by for a cornholing

Actually, the more young, and generally healthy Americans in the insurance pool is a good thing.

Well, the entire premise of ACA is to mandate the young and sickless sign up to pay for the old and sickly. So, yes, the idea is that the young do not get sick and that's how ACA is supposed to be paid for.

They rarely get sick compared to every other group which is why many young people choose to not have insurance.

It would be like mandating someone in Kansas to get earthquake insurance. Could they have an earthquake, yes; however, the chances of one happening are very small and many choose not to buy insurance.

You can see the two main difference in our posts. I use the word "choose" a lot, people have to make a personal choice on how their want to live their life. You want to government to "mandate" what decisions are made.

I support the right of the people to make bad choices.

It saddens me that you think everyone is so dumb that the government must make choices for everyone.
