My wife has that for 50 bucks a month pre pay with US Cellular. I doubt Obama care will beat that.

ObamaCare has resulted in a 50% price decrease for health insurance in New York state with similar large double digit price decreases in California and Oregon. Basically every state which has actually bothered to impliment it is now seeing big price decreases while the Republican controlled states which have been obstinate are still seeing the usual 15%-20% yearly price increases we've experienced every year for the last half century. Yes, increasing transparency and standardizing plans does indeed result in insurance companies lower prices as customers can now actually direct compare prices between different insurance companies.

Obamacare isn't zero cost, but at least it's showing up be much cheaper than what the scaremongers say it was going to be. The loony fringe of the GOP is deathly scared people are going to benefit from and like Obamacare and get punished for their idiocy in 2014 and 2016

I can't assist you but I can tell you how.

Insist that your employer cut your pay. A LOT (if necessary, assuming that you work). At low enough income you'll qualify for Medicaid and meeting certain conditions you might get it for free. Excluding the knuckle-dragging states that have not (yet) accepted the Medicaid expansion (of Obamacare).
