With technology those "boots on the ground" have turned to "boots in the air".

Drones in the ME countries are operated by US employees in New Mexico.
Don't even have to leave the US shores anymore to obliterate entire villages.
Real war has taken on a video game face.

A former U.S. drone operator has opened up about the toll of killing scores of innocent people by pressing a button from a control room in New Mexico.
Brandon Bryant, 27, from Missoula, Montana, spent six years in the Air Force operating Predator drones from inside a dark container.
But, after following orders to shoot and kill a child in Afghanistan, he knew he couldn't keep doing what he was doing and quit the military.

Invasion the same way as I, or a different definition?

Obama's not alone, there's a few republicans beside him, maybe a few dems., but, I'd be surprised if he sent any troops there, outside of the ones we might already have there, you know, the usual top ranking military advisers helping with the rebel cause, and outside of a few clandestine CIA and operatives neither of us has heard of before.

Obama is an inexperienced goofball that makes one mistake after another like a total amateur.

Obama is talking about doing a heck of a lot more than just invading their air space. He's talking about taking military action.

Mmm.. Hundreds thousand dead over few years hasn't made Obama talk about military action. Fifteen hundred people killed by gas made him talk. Does life ended by gas has higher value than a life ended by a bullet? He has stayed away from Syria so far, he should continue to stay away.

Obama needs to read more, to learn history.

Is there any evidence that the rebels are using WMD?

As to what I've heard from news-internet, he never proposed boots on the ground. I don't know where you're getting your 411 from.
