Just last week I was traveling. Before I left for the Airport, I reached inside of the top compartment on the outside of my luggage and "found" my handgun. It was previously in my vehicle the week before after doing some road travel.....returned home.........hands full......put it in the top compartment of my suitcase and went into the house. Two days later I "found" it and returned it to its rightful place in my home before I embarked on my next trip to the airport.
Like I said, pretty smart people make pretty simple mistakes.
Once upon a time a kid here in the DFW area moved with her family on a weekend during the school year.
She then went to school the following week.
The guard at the school saw something shiny in her car and searched it. He found a butter knife. That butter knife was from the kitchen stuff she moved with her car.
School policy was zero tollerance.... she got suspended because of it.
