We're supposed to be "tolerant" of people breaking the law? Do you ever listen to yourself? My guess is that's a no.
Have you seen their financials?

You have no earthly idea if their business has been damaged.

As far as breaking the law, I guess it's OK in some cases. Assault and battery ring any bells?

Apparently, they will be operating the bakery out of their home.

Does anyone know if the same anti-discrimination laws apply to someone working out of their home?
Why don't you leave people alone? The world doesn't have to cater to people like you.

If the gay couple just went to another bakery this wouldn't even be a story to debate.

The courts are forcing a photographer to service gay weddings so the same will probably happen with this bakery.
Oh well, sucks for them doesn't it. A business succeeds by catering to all. If you pick and choose your customers then you are sure to fail and therefore suffer the consequences.

And possibly because of legal costs already incurred and anticipated in the future.

I remember hearing things like that in the past.

And its a stupid law that hurts the business yet makes no difference to the consumer.

Another one who didn't read the story.

They moved their business and are operating out of their home now.

What do you mean by "people like" me?

You can train cakes?

Are there "cake whisperers" out there now?

What are you babbling about Sanrene? As for the rest, they're closing their shop and moving their business to their home, which from what I can gather, looks like it's still required to comply with Oregon state civil rights legislation. (I didn't take the time to look at the statute--just a summary by the state of Oregon) I've been a business owner for a long time, and that doesn't sound like a move that a booming business would do, especially in that field. Unless they have a commercial kitchen in their home the same size as the one in the shop, including cooler space, they wouldn't be able to produce in the volume they were before.
