True. Liberals have so damaged the country in the past 50 year march to government dependence and victimhood mentality that the best way to motivate people is to galvanize them to throw liberals out. It's a sad comment on liberal bigotry and incompetence that people respond more to cries of getting rid of liberals and their failures than they do to messages of growth and hope. Of course, liberals already knew that and have been manufacturing fear and hatred to campaign against for a long while now. One of the Romney campaign's mistakes was thinking that taking a mild mannered approach would cause people to vote for him.

For some idiot reason, both Republicans and Democrats have agreed to cook the books and tweak this or that to make unemployment rates look a lot better than they really are. Sounds like what you'd expect from politicians, right? Lies to make us all feel better.
LPR is a raw number of the percentage of Americans that are currently employed. It doesn't get tweaked at all. LPR says we're still dropping like a rock.
Agreed. Look at the U6 unemployment graph, it's like a mirror image of the labor participation rate, which makes the U6 rate as useless as the U3.
If a million people left the labor force next month the liberal talking heads in politics and the media would scream cries of joy, and the brain-dead, partisan drones would shake their pom-poms and chant 0bama's name.
I know you were posting this as a retort to what the other person said, but what's sad is that it's true. It is truly amazing how Orwellian the Democrats have become. To be fair, conservatives are the same way but it isn't anywhere close to the extent the Democrats are. I think it has to do with political correctness. Political correctness doesn't just disagree with its opponents, it demonizes them. If you disagree with a liberal then you're evil. It means if you don't agree with current liberal orthodoxy, whatever it happens to be, then you will be demonized too. If you were a liberal in good standing 10 years ago, when Democrats supported a gay marriage ban, if you didn't change your views on that they'd call you a bigot and a homophobe today. In the 70s you were a fascist thug if were hard on crime, but today you're an enabler of rape culture if you don't want rapists executed.

Our constitution is being violated, and our freedoms are being stepped upon, are we not allowed to object just because half the nation chooses to be apathetic about it all??
I'm not certain what the actual numbers are, as it would seem most economic metrics are being fudged one way or another, but I do know that I have been having a hell of a time finding employees.
Either they aren't willing to work hard, do not have the aptitude for the work, or a simple lack of response to "help wanted" ads, but it doesn't seem very many people are seriously looking for work.
