The bigger problem is that there aren't any actual conservatives left to vote for.

Conservativism is dead, dead, dead in this nation.

The Republican Party abandoned all conservative principles about 40 years back.

What we have now are social conservative/moral watchdog neo-cons who aren't in any way in even the least bit true conservatives.

The GOP is every bit 100% as irresponsible and incompetent with money and resources and every bit 100% as invasive and intrusive into the private lives of citizens as the Dems.

Anyone who thinks it matters which party high-level DC politicians belong to is a dupe.

Every one of them, whether they have a D or an R after their name, is bought, sold and owned by special interests: multinational CEOs, global bankers, heads of worldwide energy concerns, private defense contractors, and lobbyists.

No reasonable person should ever vote for any Dem or Repub for any national office ever.

Anyone who thinks any national-level Republican political hopeful is an actual conservative is a complete and utter moron who should probably just stay home come election days.

No other President has been that inept/destructive in just about every endeavor.
You are forgetting that a lot of people like "Obamacare". Once it's fully implemented that number will increase exponentially so your third point is irrelevant. As far as the domestic disaster you speak of; you're saying he single-handedly ruined our economy? Wow...that's a major story that must have slipped by every news network in the country with the sole exception of maybe Fox News. But then again Fox tends to exaggerate just a wee bit. Don't ya think? Foreign policy is a disaster for most presidents so I think your blind hatred of the president influences the way you see things.

The difference is, the Democrats were right to despise Bush. Right-wingers in contrast, have no substance to their attacks. Their biggest knock on Obama is that he hasn't fixed the mess THEY MADE fast enough. So lame. Obama crushes both Bush's.
Obama did loan 500 million to Solyndra despite the protests of government economists that it was a poor investment. His reaction to those protests was in fact to fast-track the loan so that he could make his speech at the Solyndra plant before it went under.

Obama did make speeches saying Bush had no authority to attack another nation without congressional approval, and then did himself attack Libya without congressional approval.

Obama did make speeches saying that it was unpatriotic for Bush to have the deficits he did, and then Obama got into office and ran higher deficits than Bush each and every year.

Obama's administration did produce sequestration and he did make speeches saying he would veto any attempt to get around it, and then Obama did make speeches a year later saying that sequestration was a horrible idea he had nothing to do with and Republicans should have gotten around it.

Obama did say Bush was irresponsible to raise the debt ceiling, and then say Republicans were irresponsible for not wanting to raise the debt ceiling once he was the one asking for it.

Obama did say no lobbyists would be allowed to serve in his administration, and then immediately issue waivers for lobbyists to serve in his administration once he was elected.

Obama did say that debates would be televised and that proposed legislation would be posted on the internet for all Americans to see, and then did conduct negotiations behind closed doors have votes taken before even the people doing the voting had a chance to read it much less the public.

Obama's administration did get taken to court over refusing to allow drilling, and then did come up with a permit system and then not issue any permits to get around that court decision, and then were taken to court again and lost again over the permits.

Obama did make speeches against Arizona's immigration law when in fact Arizona's law simply codified existing federal law into state law.

Obama did appoint known union sympathizers to a labor board which was intended to neutrally oversee labor relations.

Obama did use recess appointments to put officials in place when there was no recess.

Obama did try to take credit for increased drilling in support of his balanced energy policy claims when he in fact reduced drilling on the lands he had control over and the increase was purely on private lands he had nothing to do with.

Obama did try to cover up Benghazi, and that has now gone beyond speculation into being proven fact with the memos that were discovered.

Obama's administration did lie to congress about the NSA and his Security Advisor has publicly admitted doing so.

Obama's administration did lie about using the IRS as a political weapon. Just as with Benghazi, it has now been proven by discovered documents.

Obama did speak out against super PACs but then once election time came around, used one himself.

Obama's administration did use the bailout of the auto industry to protect the union members who donated to his campaign while leaving out the non-union workers.

So there's your substance. Notice nothing I mentioned is a matter of a difference of opinion. I purposely avoided using Obama's failed policies in this list. Nothing about food stamps or his apology tour or his exorbitant vacations during a recession or the stimulus or trying terrorists as domestic criminals. I am proving that even without taking political ideology into consideration, there is a wealth of dishonesty and corruption to use in judging Obama a failure.

I've seen a lot of really stupid polls on P&OC, but this my friends is the winner by far.

Congratulations!

Tough one: Wilson was a tyrant. Carter was a feckless boob (who was/is nonetheless vain.)

I went with Carter because in addition to being an embarrassing President, he's been a faithless ex-President. A former President running a sitting President down in public is unseemly enough; running him down in Cuba in the presence of Castro is an outrage.

You are not even close, Lincoln was the worst followed by FDR barely edging out Wilson.

Jimmy Carter was by far the worst "modern" President.

You made several good points in your post.

Unfortunately, the parts I highlighted are lost on low information types. They either cannot comprehend -- or don't want to believe -- that their "party" is as incompetent as the other, and is just as big a part of the problem as "the other guys". That, of course, is due to the fact that our elected officials are indeed bought, sold, and owned, the President included.

The much larger picture for all of us is how do we go about changing the political incompetence (and incompetents) on display in D.C.?
