I live on an island and I can tell you for sure they are yankin your chain!!! I've been going to the beach for 40 years and the low and high tide marks are the same ..not one bit of noticeable difference.. those ipcc claims of 3 to what ever feet of sea level rise by the year 2100 is a bunch of bs propaganda to scare people to believing in global warming.. they were predicting a very active hurricane season and I predicted a very low hurricane season because I can tell the difference in the weather here and as of right now it is more like November here that September.. NEXT YEAR THEIR WILL BE VERRY LOW HURRICANE ACTIVITY, mostly like this year with weak tropical depressions and t storms that will dissipate to remnant lows..

I've known since the beginning that the "global warming" propaganda the media was selling was BS. In the late 70's the experts were telling us there was an ice age coming. 77-78 was a very bad winter, Lake Michigan froze over. The earth has always gone through heating and cooling cycles caused by the increase and decrease in sun activity. Scientists have told us for many years that there were 4 ice ages in North America, that covered much of the northern part of the continent. The earth recorded a "little ice age", that started in the middle ages and didn't end till about 1850. Climate is variable, it cools; it warms and it has almost nothing to do with man made activity.

I know the shoreline like the back of my hand in some areas and IF? the sea level is rising it is such a small amount it Isn't noticeable!!! and that is over a period of 40 years!! that ipcc prediction will not be even close the what they project. who the hell knows what's going to happen in 20, 40, 60, 80, 100 years maybe the sea will rise some, maybe the ice caps will regenerate. who the heck knows they just want to instill fear in the masses.. just to many variables in a changing climate to make such predictions in only a few decades of data..

Both articles claimed that Arctic sea ice extent grew 60 percent in August 2013 as compared to August 2012. While this factoid is technically true, it's also largely irrelevant. For one thing, the annual Arctic sea ice minimum occurs in September – we're not there yet. And while this year's minimum extent will certainly be higher than last year's, that's not the least bit surprising. "Around 80% of the ~100 scientists at the Bjerknes [Arctic climate science] conference thought that there would be MORE Arctic sea-ice in 2013, compared to 2012."
The reason so many climate scientists predicted more ice this year than last is quite simple. There's a principle in statistics known as "regression toward the mean," which is the phenomenon that if an extreme value of a variable is observed, the next measurement will generally be less extreme. In other words, we should not often expect to observe records in consecutive years. 2012 shattered the previous record low sea ice extent; hence 'regression towards the mean' told us that 2013 would likely have a higher minimum extent."

That's a popular myth. But it's just a myth. No, the 'experts' were NOT telling us in the 1970's that an Ice Age was coming. The vast majority of climate papers in the 1970s predicted warming.
