Numero dos - You celebrate how you want and I celebrate how I want. Got it? Good. You don't get to dictate what holidays mean to others, mmmkay?
Harrier isn't dictating anything - he is simply stating the fact that Christmas is a holiday which is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ - and that someone who "celebrates" it by ignoring that central component might as well "celebrate" Dr. King's birthday by listening to Madonna.
Not that that can't be a component - but one would hope that one would also remember the great man privately or in public - attend a parade - work in a soup kitchen in his memory - or something like that.

Since Christmas overtook the Pagan celebration of Winter Solstice, I'd be mighty careful in telling others what they celebrate during the darkest part of the year.
The thing is, I have now seen two commercials on TV for two different venues that say to prepare for the "holidays" showing traditional Christmas decorations but they do not mention the word "Christmas." They are trying not to be offensive while being offensive because what they really are selling is layaway and buy early which has nothing to do with the true observation of a religious event but links people's minds as to how they should be celebrating it.
The birth of our Lord and Savior should be celebrated all year.
"Our"?
Jesus isn't MY lord and savior, pal.
Hannukah starts at Thanksgiving this year. Jewish holidays have been insanely early this year. So we'll be done first week of December and there'll be nothing to distract us from the crass commercialization of the birth of someone we don't give a toss about.
I get so sick of people trying to shove Christmas down my throat. There are no twinkly lights (except on my hanukiah), no "Hannukah bush", no blue stockings hanging on the mantle, no plastic dreidels filled with red, white, and green M&Ms. People are amazed when they come to my house and there's....ZOMG...NO CHRISTMAS TREE! Um, of course there isn't. I'm Jewish.
Please keep your Christmas away from me. I don't come to your house and try to force-feed you latkes.

Come on now. It's not a Christmas commercial. It's a holiday commercial. The C-word is verboten.
Actually I did see one the other day that ended with the voiceover saying "Get the most out of Christmas." I wasn't paying too much attention as usual so I don't know what it was for but I was pretty startled to hear that. If I see it again I'll try to remember who the advertiser was. It could have been local.
