I "paint" it that way because there are no accredited scientific facts that prove GM crops are bad for humanity... Ahem, my "lack of depth"? Again, go read the above thread and tell me about my "lack of depth"...

Agree, specifics matter, something that the anti-GM anti-technology crowd seem to lack. Truth is a distraction? something I read quite a bit of in the posts of the anti-GM crowd in the other thread... Bring up facts to disprove their fears over GM crops and they said exactly that, oh no facts and the truth aren't allowed in this thread...

~YAWN~ whoever you are, go read that thread and get back to me about the anti-GM anti-technology crowds releasing "proper information"....

All they release is BS, lies and mistruths, of course you did read the link I posted concerning one of the latest studies done by the anti-GMO crowd right????

I saw your links the first time. You lumping everyone in a big pot isn't truth. That's your biased perspective. If you are bored why are you on this thread?

Incorrect. I, at least, posted a forthright repudiation of the GOP, based on its reprehensible conduct toward its own members over the last 35-40 years.

There's a thread going on right now regarding John McCain. If you need any proof of what I wrote, just take a look in there. Of course, if you're inclined to kowtow to GOP fascist control over the right-wing, you'll refuse to admit that their inane shenanigans go on.
BS.

you guys ALL have lined up to support obama's war in Syria as if commanded by an officer.

all of those, whining about wars in the ME - now are saluting the new one to start.

The right is split on the issue - most opposes ( because it is idiocy to support our enemies) and some do support it - unlike leftards, all becoming warmongering zombies

Thanks. There are evidently 28 or so state initiatives and I think 3 have been successful in getting them passed. I think CT and either ME or VT and another state I can't think of were the ones.

I agree they don't listen but they are going to HAVE to if they want to get re-elected now that people are FINALLY waking up and starting to see how badly they've been lying to us about so many things.

How lazy can one get? Did you check out the link I provided? All your studies are linked to there.

Here is something about one of them.

A new published study reveals that insecticidal proteins from genetically modified corn crops are entering streams throughout the Midwestern United States. The proteins enter streams through runoff and when corn leaves, stalks, and plant parts are washed into stream channels, and are being found even six months after harvest. The study’s authors say more research is needed to determine the impacts of the GM material on the streams’ ecosystems. The study was published in September in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS). - See more at: GM corn polluting Midwest streams

Food Safety the last time I checked wasn't a left or right or Democrat or Republican problem. We ALL have to eat! Who doesn't want to eat SAFE NUTRIENT RICH FOOD????? When it comes to basics like food, water and the air we breathe, you'd think we could all AGREE!!!!!!!

Haven't the critics figured out yet that blaming and fighting with "the other party" which no longer exists, because Republicans and Democrats are one and the same, is EXACTLY what the globalists want? They want to divide and conquer which they have come close to doing and it is exactly why they set up the two party system in the first place. Now if there are two groups, they are the authoritarians and the libertarians .

SourD is right. The Food Safety Modernization act refers to this and they have accepted CODEX guidelines which are international and designed to INCREASE the use of chemicals and toxic technologies and make it "mandatory" for "our (so called) safety" a/k/a the soft kill approach and government/ fascist control of the food supply.

so this is the 'pollution' you spoke of? corn stalks and leaves being washed by rain into fields and streams?

what deleterious effect do you claim this has? the authors of the study don't mention a single one

are you aware that this is exactly the same protein that can be sprayed on USDA certified organic produce?

Spores and crystalline insecticidal proteins produced by B. thuringiensis have been used to control insect pests since the 1920s and are often applied as liquid sprays.[17] They are now used as specific insecticides under trade names such as DiPel and Thuricide. Because of their specificity, these pesticides are regarded as environmentally friendly, with little or no effect on humans, wildlife, pollinators, and most other beneficial insects and are used in Organic farming.

Bt proteins has been used in many organic farms for over 50 years as a microbial pest control agent (MCPA). Bt proteins are allowed in organic farming as a insecticide because Bt is a natural, non-pathogenic bacterium that is found naturally in the soil. Bt has also been found to be safe to all higher animals tested.

Thanks to those of you who care! It is a crying shame we even have to fight for something like this.
