Definitely something wrong with our food... I'm not sure about diseases, but even the local stuff sure seems to inspire some to care only about themselves and care nothing about anyone or anything else.

Of course you have accredited statistics to back that up right? (Read the thread I posted in #7, this statement was used numerous times but no-one could come up with accredited peer-reviewed scientific studies to back that up.....) You figure after 4 decades of GM crops there would be reams of studies confirming the deadly nature of GM crops....

But noooooooo... Over and over we see studies like this recent one:

The illegal aliens coming across our borders carrying diseases has nothing to do with....

so many people are coming down with diseases like never before

Nahh, lets not use common sense here, anti-GM anti-technology FUD rules the day...

For those readers who want to see just how ludicrous and inane the anti-GM anti-technology crowd is read this thread:

GMO News and Discussion Thread

When it comes to facts and accredited statistics to back up their humorous fears they are sadly lacking... In the above thread of over 600 posts there isn't anything that proves beyond a shadow of a doubt GM crops are bad for ones health. All one sees is:

~ studies suggest

~ flawed research suggests

~ there is a possibility that...

~ four decades of research is not enough time to determine whether GM crops are good or bad, they need more research done...

The anti-GM anti-technology crowd would rather see millions of men, women and children die of starvation...

Anti-GMO writers show profound ignorance of basic biology and now Jane Goodall has joined their ranks

Please stop with the propaganda that GM foods keep the poor woman and children from starving. Also being anti-GMO as you seem so willing to broadly label people has nothing to do with opinions on technology.

The fact that you seem so willing to paint GM with such a blanket statement also shows lack of depth. Even if you are pro-GM as you might state doesn't mean it's all good.

Specifics matter, can't have meaningful discussions w/o them, so please take the distractions elsewhere.

People have a right to choose and should be given proper information to make that choice. It is ridiculous that a manufacturer of a product, who markets that they are saving the hungry children seems to not want to shout it from the rooftops by labeling their products so consumers can choose.

Monsanto makes the govt a lot of money, nm the revolving doors. Do you think the same people who set policy and profit from it should oversee it? Do you not see a conflict of interest in that?

Famine?? Do a bit of research, please. Please show me PROOF where man-made crap has won out over Mother Nature.... LOL. Just HOW many years has mankind survived on natural foods, versus what has happened since a few psychos have decided to play "God"? The Cancer & Autism rates alone are enough to make most people take pause.

The FDA, USDA and EPA all have ties to Monsanto! They don't need their crop to look good.
