Seriously--we're in the FUKUS axis?

No wonder our foreign relations are always a mess.

It's a damn shame that we've got to look to Russia to keep us out of a war we don't belong in at all.
Putin = checkmated by Obama

Our president is on the verge of gettin chemical weapons out of Syria without firing a shot. KO victory.

The right-winger's attempts to paint Putin as the victor here are pitiful. Sorry shills, your bear-wrestling tough guy let you down.

Obama was incoherent in his speech contradicting himself several times.

Russia listened to Rahm emanuel and didn't lety this crisis go to waste. They are so many moves ahead of obama, his head is spinning.

At one point he said Syrian military structure was inconsequential and could not retaliate, later Obama tried to make the case that Syria was an imminent threat to the US. Which is it mr etch a sketch?

Assad used chemical weapons.

President Obama first verified that they were indeed used.
But did not verify that they were used by Assad.
Quote:
Good at his word, President Obama began preparing for a military strike.

To give his effort maximum support, he sought the support of Congress first.
While insisting that he had the right to attack Syria regardless of the vote. Thereby making the vote worthless. Having said prior to the vote that he would not be bound by the vote's results, the vote really wasn't serious.
Quote:
He also met with Putin, and silently established his resolve. Putin felt Assad was in BIG trouble and Russia wanted no part of military action by the US.
Somehow I doubt you were in secret meetings with Putin. I have a suspicion that you have no idea whatsoever what Putin felt.
Quote:
Putin approach Assad about giving up weapons. Assad agreed, essentially surrendering.
He surrendered nothing but control over weapons which he stated he had not ordered used in the first place. He's already winning the war. What he did was guarantee his own winning position. Try to use your head. If you're winning a war and a more powerful nation than you are is threatening to intervene on the other side, then by getting them to step back you are left in the same winning position you were already in. The fact that you somehow see this as "surrendering" is mind boggling. All I can say is with your unique view on what constitutes victory and defeat I'm sure glad you don't work for the state department.

Responding to the changing events, President Obama continued to push for military action, even though his preference is for a diplomatic option.
There's a term for that: flip-flopping.
Quote:
Syria in the process of giving up its nuclear weapons.
Syria doesn't have nuclear weapons.
Quote:
President Obama: decisive, a man at his word, resolute, and effective. The outcome was what he wanted, brought about because he set the ball in motion.

Kudos to this great President!
The level of delusion displayed in your post is staggering.

Obama set a red line, then denied the red line was his. He said he was going to attack, then said he'd have a vote. Then said he wouldn't be bound by the vote's results. He tried to get a coalition together for the strike, but it collapsed. When it became apparent that he wasn't assured of winning the vote, he had that cancelled. Then Russia stepped in an engineered a diplomatic solution that Obama was unable to broker. And your judgment is that Obama was decisive and effective. Even for an Obama supporter, that's going into realms of fantasy.

Well, whaddya know?

Right wing nut jobs are now using Pravda as one of their sources for Obama-bashing opinion pieces.

You boys haven't gone off the rails. You were shoved out of the back of the train a few miles back.

Only a Bot could look at the Syrian situation in such twisted ways.

The thing to do is figure out how to make money off feeding them lies and having them vomit them back up.
