The fact is the Democratic party is the moderate party in this nation.

I don't believe much of anything. So I don't believe the Democratic party is the moderate party. I know it is based on the actual policy positions of the party.

Ahh, Rand Paul does.

Why would a lIbertarian want to fix the GOP, shouldn't he be fixing the Libertarian Party? Oh wait he runs as a Repub so he can get elected, me thinks that is a bit dishonest, the nut does not fall far from the tree.

See, the problem is that ONLY Tea Party sympathizers see the Tea Party as such. To the rest of the world, they appear like they are a bunch of geriatric geezers who just about all white, and whose concerns, although perhaps to some degree noble and merit-driven, are completely out of touch with reality.

The general perception of the Tea Party is so negative that flying the Tea Party flag or putting a sticker on your car will, in the minds of many, label you an instant old fool.

To make matter worse, these perceptions are so strong that they have dragged the GOP down into the mud.

All of this may or may not be due to propaganda - but that is the general attitude that people around here seem to have. And I live in the South... I can only begin to imagine how much worse it must be elsewhere. Talk about an image problem!

The leftwing corporate smear machine can only spread a lie so long before the truth gets out. The Tea Party is the classic liberal hijacking of the GOP which in turn will force the Democrats to dump their current fascist bent or die as a mainstream party. The more people know the truth about the Tea Party, the more likely they are to join their cause. There is a reason why women make up the majority of the Tea Party. They see the crappy union/Democrat schools, the rising prices, & the weaker economy first hand. They are some of the first victims of corrupt, unsustainable, ineffective government.

The fascist/progressives are massively afraid of the Tea Party, and so are their allies in the leftwing corporate media. The lies and smears will certainly continue.
