I am amazed that you have such a depth of insight into Putin's mind.
It's not deep, it's common sense. When your opponent looks weak and struggling to keep his head above water, take advantage of it and toss him an anchor, and Putin is doing exactly that. Whether Putin's attempts will be effective or not is another matter.
It seems like Putin learned something from watching our involvement in Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya, as well as the Soviet adventure in Afghanistan. Too bad our politicians are incapable of doing so.
Obama was a dumbass, drew some arbitrary "line in the sand," and got in over his head.
Not only that, but he did nothing, zero, nada, to prepare for the possibility if that line would be crossed. When gas was used a year after his red line was drawn, Obama was so unprepared, and looked so weak, that his first knee jerk reaction was to go rogue and attack without any evidence or support.
He is not only an incompetent man, he is dangerous and erratic .

It's a win-win. Why is everyone bitching? We may now avoid another Middle East war, and all it took was for Putin (of all people), to play the part of "voice-of-reason."
Yes, Obama may look bad, but who cares, at least he checked his ego at the door long enough to avoid the war.
And regardless of what John "Treebeard" Kerry said, launching an aircraft or missile strike into Syria would be Obama committing an act of war
Pootie-Poot, as Bush nicknamed him, sees Obama as weak, and is taking advantage of it. The weaker Obama is seen, the stronger Putin hopes it might make him. Sadly, Obama is so inept he is making this easy.
You seem to be inhaling everything Putin says, and hail it as a great success, but luckily most Americans see the rant as nothing but a clumsy appempt to insult America as whole, and they are letting him hear it through the comments attached to his blog.

Lol. They are just able to do it. Here, the only goal they have another. This goal was determined long before the war in Iraq,Libya. Do you ever watched a movie - Zeitgeist? Even in it many years ago, says the U.S. is preparing to attack Syria after Iraq and Libya. Watch the film if you're interested. Why, most of the U.S. media believe a liar? All media in the U.S. are subject to the government. There is even a law about it. Why do most (especially young people) do not know how to analyze the problem entirely?
I just read a quote of Senator Menendez that after reading the Putin letter he wanted to vomit. He said something to the effect of, why would we believe what an ex kgb agent had to say. Ok, fair enough, but what about a president that is steeped in antiamerican background that o'vomit has been. Why would we believe anything he had to say about anything!
There was no "slam" aimed at Obama. Calling the above statement a slam is kind of a stretch.
Like I said, the slam, or the attempted slam, was directed at US as whole. There is no such thing as "Obama's exceptionalism", there is only "American exceptionalism", which is what Putin was trying to discredit.
