Unions will suffer.. The democratic party used to be for the working man.. now it is against the working man..

The middle class - the people who are actually working - are not sharing in the wealth created by productivity increases that have occurred since 1980 or so. The dependent class is living much better, the middle class is worse off, the top 10 percent have all the money, the top 1 percent own the politicians and the Fed and run America.

And you/republicans only want tax cuts like these (and adding the following $6.6 trillion dollars to our national debt), so the rich can use that money to build US factories in Asia and buy themselves new jet airplanes.

This type of wealth gap is the way it is in most of the world and throughout history. Americans decided to eliminate unions and throw themselves right infront of the big corporate freight train.

And the GOP's solution to the problem is to cut taxes more for the rich and also cut programs that the poor and middle class use.

That should reduce the income gap!

This simply is one of the single greatest problems facing this nation. So far not many concrete solutions or even a willingness to attempt to solve it.

It's the Democrat policies that do this, and Obama is leading the charge.

A classic example is Freddie Mac can Fannie Mae. You make home loans to the poor who can't afford them. They eventually are foreclosed upon making their situation worse. The banks (the rich) made a fortune selling these mortgage packages to Freddie and Fannie. When the whole mess collapsed, the middle class tax money was used to bail out Freddie and Fannie while all of those in the in (Wall Street and the banks) made out like bandits, the middle class got hosed and the working poor were worse off. Who were the champions of these policies, the Democrats such as Barney Frank. Remember when Barney Frank said that auditing and adding oversight to Freddie and Fannie (proposed by Bush) was essentially racist?

Who do you think welfare benefits the most? Some of the gullible will believe it benefits the poor the most, but those who pay attention will realize that it really benefits industrial agriculture, retailers and corporate housing the most. It hurts the lower working class the worst.

None of these schemes were created by Obama, but he pushes them forward and at a very brisk pace.

What unions? We are busy doing away with all those in our 'right to work' states. That's another thing that has hurt the middle class - like it or not.

The middle class hasn't had a voice since Bush I, II, and now III.

Our country will implode if this continues but I really see no relief in sight.
