oh gee, why do we have laws against murder, when murders still happen. The laws aren't "rectifying" the situation. People are still murdering people
so IS YOUR solution is to not have ANY laws at all?
That's basically YOUR reasoning.
Name one other law or set of laws other than gun control that severely restricts law abiding citizens from participating in a perfectly legitimate activity while doing little to nothing to deter criminals.
I'm all for better background checks and limiting SALES of CERTAIN types of guns; and sorry to sya, that any one with a history of mental issues, should be denied right off the bat.
There is no need for a civilian to own AR; but load up on pistols, shotguns and the like fine. have your way with those!

America's Gun: Rise of the AR-15
The AR-15 is the most popular rifle in America, with an estimated 4 million in circulation. You can buy one at Walmart if they're not sold out. Used in a number of high-profile mass murders, the AR-15 is also the preferred rifle of homeowners, hunters and sport shooters.
Name one other law or set of laws other than gun control that severely restricts law abiding citizens from participating in a perfectly legitimate activity while doing little to nothing to deter criminals.
smoking - criminalizes anyone under 18 from buying cigarettes - still minors able to smoke and acquire cigarettes
purchasing alcohol - criminalizes anyone under 21 from buying alcohol - minors are still able to drink and acquire alcohol.
murder - criminalizes those who kill other people. we still have murders today.
illegal drug possession and selling, creation - criminalizes anyone who is in possession and intent to sell illegal drugs; or creates them - we still see pot farms and meth labs being busted around this country
child prostitution/pedophilia/abuse - its a crime to force a child into prositution, molest a child, own and trade child pornography and to abuse a child. We still have issues with all of the above today.
These are just the tip of the iceberg of laws that criminalize some everyday behavior (smoking and drinking alcohol) and outright CRIMES that have not been deterred by current laws.
So, are YOU saying that we should just say "to hell with it, laws don't work, so let just have no laws" ?
No one said he did. He received a more than 25% more votes than Romney did and better than that against McCain.
He won the both elections, so sad for you.
What election were YOU watching? The one that was bruises were numbskulls who thought that Romney had any chance of winning. THOSE who lived in reality, knew he would lose.
Rant as you will, but this president hasn't been a Lame duck. You are still confusing CONGRESS (the ones that are the LAME ducks) with the POTUS.
Get your head out of the nether regions of Faux news and realize that ITS OUR CONGRESS that have been the lame ducks for the past 10 years.
PUTIN did nothing of the sort, and there you go, kissing the enemies behind, and forget that this same man has done WORST in his country.
Uh, ~65M votes is not 25% more than ~60M votes. Try again
The rest of your post is just as absurd as your math.
Murder is a moral issue. Gun ownership is not.Sorry to piiss in your Corn Flakes.
sorry to prove you wrong again, but many people consider gun ownership a moral issue.
You can cozy up in that fantasy land you've built for yourself, but here in OUR world, you just proved that you have no argument to make, nor can answer a simple question:
There are many laws that are supposed to be used a deterrents to a crime. But those crimes STILL happen. IS your position that since these laws do not work, then should we have NO laws at all?
