What new gun law would have prevented this?
Will members of MS-13, Crips, Bloods.. and every other gang go through background checks for the weapons they buy and sell??
Medical records aren't shared in the current background checks...

Precisely. The Navy Dept. screwed up. Rhode Island police reported him to the Navy Dept. and no one did anything about it. If someone did their job, this guy would have either been on meds or getting psychiatric help and would not have been given clearance.

The law was a federal law, it has been on the books since 68, it has nothing to do with the type of gun that was trying to be purchased. You cannot buy a gun while visiting another state.
