To a degree you paid for it, just like SS, there often comes a time when your paid benefits have been used up and with Medicare you still pay something but not so with SS. Read more.
Are you willing to burn your Medicare Card? The Tea Party outfit FreedomWorks wants the uninsured to burn a non-existent Obamacare card. But as a loyal Tea Partier are you willing to burn your Medicare Card to support Freedomworks and the Koch brothers and their fight against socialism? Didn't real patriots in 1776 do more than burn Medicare cards?? Isnt it time for the real Tea Party to step up?
Is it kind of like burning your draft card? I think not;I would think refusing to file income tax return would be similar to that.
Old folks think they've "Paid for their Medicare."
During the time I worked I paid Medicare and now I've been retired 19 years and I still pay Medicare, $100 per month and my wife pays the same. It ain't free for old folks. If you are lucky you will live long enough to do the same.
Harrier won't be eligible for Medicare for almost 30 years, but he has absolutely no intention in ever enrolling in such an unconstitutional monstrosity.
Harrier will never burn his Medicare card, because he fully intends to never have one.
Why would poor people willingly give up the handouts they voted for? This is why democracies have a short lifespan. The people just keep voting more freebies for themselves, or the candidates that promise the most with the least effort. Expect more Obama clones to exact a death grip upon this nation, no matter how many teabags the teabaggers staple to their baseball caps. Expect poor people to continue to play the victim card, regardless of how inadequate an effort they actually put in.
??? Last I looked, poor people were about half as likely to vote as rich people.
Really? You missed Obama's health care reform campaign promises, like this one?
Now, think about why it's mathematically impossible for health insurance premiums to fall by 3,000%. (If you can't figure it out, I'll be more than happy to explain it.)
Just responding to your own claims in this thread that Obamacare is expensive, le roi:
Not mathematically impossible, refundable tax credits which are sufficiently large would do the trick.
Just got the Affordable Plan and all the rules, not only a penalty each year that penalty goes up. I see self-employed people being more screwed. What's next jail time for non payment of penalty for living. Not everyone goes to the doctor often or has health issues, on the other hand there are those people who sneeze and visit the doctor.
That is the goal, to be fined, taxed, or penalized for non-compliance. That will give me standing in the courts challenging the constitutionality of AHA since that fine, tax, or penalty for non-compliance amounts to a bill of attainder which is specifically prohibited. Citizens cannot be denied their right to due process via the courts. Imposing a penalty via legislative fiat, without a trial, is unconstitutional.
What cracks me up is, since there is no such thing as an actual "Obamacare card," the idiots are going to print some up just so they have something to burn.
You can't make this s**t up. lol
Keep it up, Teabaggers! Seriously! It pretty much guarantees another Democratic president in the White House in 2016!
