Do you really believe the citizens of the United States exist to do anything but pay taxes to support the powerful, the privleged and the war profiteers?
Well, we pay taxes to redistribute wealth to the people who simply have kids and don't work. The rest goes to have American's fight and die for Israel's alleged-enemies in the Middle East.
As for this nonsenical 'war on terror,' Europe is letting these people flood their countries. Furthermore, the 9/11 hi-jackers overwhelmingly came from Saudi Arabia (a country which Bush and his cronies support and continue to do so).
Iraq was lobbied heavily for by pro-Israel/Jewish groups such as AIPAC. The same cast of characters is blasting the rhetoric for Iran (a country where terrorists are not coming from, a country with a large economy, and a country that has not invaded other soverign nations or illegally occupied other's territory (israel)... yet we're still getting the same propoganda stores we did with Iraq. I believe the issue of the Iraq war is muddying the waters of this discussion.
Do we belong in Iraq? No. Are we there under false pretenses? Quite possibly. But does this justify ignoring the threat radical islam has on our way of life, indeed, our lives period? No.
Does anyone here really believe that there will not be another 9/11? That there are not men in mosques right now plotting our destruction? Death means nothing to the radicals who have perverted Islam. Nothing. We will never win these people over with diplomacy. We will never win them over by acquiesing to their every demand. We must show strength. That is the only thing they respect or fear.
So, no to Iraq. No to invading Iran. Yes to be on guard and actively rooting out terrorist threats whereever they may be.......and lets face it, they are just as likely to be in Kansas City as in Tehren.
I agree with some of your post but no, Christians are not in any way like radical Islamists. Christians will tell you about Christ and it is your decision to accept or reject him. And if one chooses to practices another religion your life is not in jeopardy.
Christians will also brutally kill gays and lesbians, or send hate mail and death threats to atheists or people who teach evolution. Yes, they are not like radical Islamists at all. Have you heard of the "No True Scottsman" fallacy? That's what Christians always use to defend acts of hate commited by their co-religionists.
This War on Islam stuff is all phoney. It has nothing to do really with the contents of the Koran and who Muhammed was. It has everything to do with pillaging the resources of an impoverished world to the selfish ends of an elite. Stripping the brown peoples of the world of their real freedoms, the right of self-determination, in the name of "Democracy" (as dictated by the United States, vae victis). An elite who will sacrifice lives and treasure for the enrichment of themselves and their friends. Islam is merely the pretext to incite the bigoted and easily duped in this country to passion and violence, in the same way that anti-Semitism was the catalyst that Goebbels used to unify Hitler's Germany behind a foolish and disasterous war of aggression.

What? Christians are brutally killing gays and lesbians? Where? Please show proof. And while you are at it, if you have anything that proves these mass killing sprees of gays, I want to see proof that the 'co-religious' are accepting and excusing these suppossed murders. Oh, and please don't show me articles on the Spanish Inquisition........try to limit yourself within the last five years.

The US has made horrendous mistakes regarding Iraq, but please don't ignore the root of the terrorist problem is the power and money hungry Imams and Sheks who put a system in place to cement their power base. You do notice that an Imam who encourages terrorism never straps on a suicide belt himself, why do you think that is?
For those who truly are concerned about the real danger, the real threat of Islamic terrorism ~ read this article. A teenage boy teaching English after school was dragged into the street and brutally killed by Taliban fighters.....
