It's a lifestyle as well as a sexual orientation, so there are going to be those people who do not care to live in such communities. Just as I have seen other posters very stridently request names of cities that aren't full of very conservative types, or that are overly centered around religion, etc.

its' not a lifestyle.

Just google places to live that have a high concentration of "white bigots with guns", I'm sure that keeps the gay population down. Those stats are probably easier to find here.

Actually, support for gay marriage is not like support for other partisan issues. I remember reading an interesting article while I lived in PA that said support was about 50/50 throughout both rural and urban areas. I have my own theory for that, but it does show that even the "hick" with the gun safe in his basement isn't necessarily against gay marriage. I have family in Alabama and know some gun-toting rednecks who could care less if adam and steve get married.

Any area with obese, uneducated conservatives who pretend to be devout followers of Jesus will surely have a low gay population.

I realize that actually I was being a bit of a smart ass but every anti abortionist I've ran across also believes the Obama birther bs and hispanic panic. My guess is if the poster finds a like minded community he will also find a community free from tolerance of others as backwards as I think that is.
