It's true that Halliburton was given a no-bid contract to help with oil operations in Iraq, but Bill Clinton gave Halliburton an identical no-bid contract to go into Bosnia and rebuilt the oil infrastructure there.

Some try to connect President Bush with the bin Ladens by showing that members of both families have investments in the Carlyle group. But again, this logic falls short when we remember that one of the largest investors in the Carlyle group is George Soros, who is one of the major backers of MoveOn ~ the big, bad enemy of the Bush administration.

Liberals, keep on trying to find impeachment reasons that will hold water!

Yes, I distinctly remember the shocking videos of Bush in a Speedo, personally holding the heads of Katrina victims under water.

I think it was on CNN...

I'm still waiting for when we will "take" Iraq's oil. Democrats have been saying that since 1991 and it still hasn't happened!
didn't Bush say the war would pay for itself ?
wasn't that about the oil?

That was part of the plan, of course. The oil would be opened up to international companies such as Chevron and we would all bathe in the abundance of cheap oil to be had.

Then that pesky Iraqi government we helped to put in place has decided so far and despite strong US pressure that they prefer to keep the oil under national control. The utter gall, really, after we have liberated those poor slobs. Very poor taste and not very grateful at all, if you ask me.
