This caught my eye awhile back during some Obama WH drama. So I have been keeping an eye out. They have been trying to get this through. Looks like they are working on it once again.

It is being spun as a protective bill, however, there are big issues up for grabs here. Mainly the definition of Journalist and Journalism. One should read through the bill and see the heavy areas that are being discussed.

Congress Moves To Outlaw Alternative Media

quote:
Feinstein believes that a proposed media shield law should be applied only to who she refers to as “real reporters.” Feinstein chastises other reporters as “basement-dwelling, pajama-clad bloggers with no professional credentials”

At issue is that the government could soon decide who is a journalist and who is not.

If you are referring to the particular network of similar sounding name, no I am afraid they would qualify.
All govt owned corporate Big 6 media, would qualify.

Let them create their own fantasy world if they want.

I go to other countries and read their news sites to keep current on what is going on in the US.

Top alternative media? Only if you are a dedicated lefty are they alternative. You know, against open discussion and different lines of reasoning.

Of course, your post says a lot about you.
