I'm rather old. My world has never included pulling a gun on anyone for any reason. You make your own world and suffer your own consequences.

That is a good thing that you never had to pull a gun on anyone...but there are people who live in parts of the world where it's almost necessary. Defense of oneself and others can be interpreted in many different ways. Sometimes drastic measures are needed

If you maim them, they might sue you and win.

How many crime victims have you laid that line on? Did they agree with or appreciate it?

I don't believe in murder either. Thats why I would try to kill someone if they were trying to murder me.

According to the law, the shooter did not commit murder. Technically, we are a nation ruled by laws, not by feelings.

Anybody who commits a crime is taking the chance of being hurt or killed and can only blame themselves, the problem is that the person who shoots them can be sued by them if they live or their family if they die.

I would have to be sitting on the jury and hear all the evidence before I would know what to believe.

I do not believe we have a right to kill people because we *believe* they are doing something bad. I think it needs to be proven that they are doing something bad.

Only kneejerk liberals think that things don't need to be proven.
