first off the republicans DID win elections, thats why they control the house right now. and their mandate for winning those elections was to repeal obamacare, remember that is the platform they ran on.
second, the republicans put up a bill that funded everything in the government, except obamacare, and the senate rejected the bill. so the republicans sent a bill that had funding for obamacare, just that they want the individual mandate pushed back one year, just like what obama did for big business, and yet harry reid tabled the bill and wont even put it up for debate let alone a vote. so who is shutting down the government again? it certainly sounds like the republicans tried to keep things open.
third as for the republican alternative plans, try googling republican health care plans and read what comes up. you might learn something.
Good explanation. Unfortunately the liberals are on board with Obama and Reid who wants everything or nothing at all. They won't even push the mandate back a year to work out the kinks and would rather shut the government down. They know the liberal media will fight their battle with false information and spin for public opinion. That's why Obama is acting all smirky and arrogant on the campaign trail.

Oh yea, I remember that and they thought they would get away with it. The democrats thought ALL Americans didn't understand how government is supposed to work. Unfortunately for Democrats some of us do.
