Don't be goofy. The majority of Americans are not stupid, and they do not expect or demand that there be no taxes or that we get everything for free. This is another example of the complete tone deafness of the American right-wing. If they couldn't set of straw men they would never have anybody to attack.
Actualy "the majority" of americans dont pay federal income taxes.. about 51% pay ZERO..

Some republics are democracies, some are not. Our republic is a democracy.
But yet you seem to want to legislate by polls now, but didnt want to legislate by polls when they passed Obamacare.
I think you have that backwards, the senate passed a bill on Friday with funding for Obama care, the house options were 2 bills, one that delayed Obama Care for a year and another that defunded. The right wing extremists in the republican party tried to defund the AFCA around 20 times, they lost in the courts,
now they are losing in the court of public opinion.
Only someone that lives in alternate universe would think that this helps their cause in 2014.
Well, we'll see about that, won't we?
I stand with Ted Cruz and the others with him, and I have told my Senators that (via faxes sent last week and this week).
Meanwhile, Boehner is facing some stiff opposition in the House for his fecklessness. Apparently, the House Republicans have been hearing from their constituents, and unlike the Democrats, they are listening.
Because they are a disaster to our national capacity for doing the right thing.
I agree the Democrats are exactly what you just said.
I wonder? Since the government is not doing its job; do we still have to pay taxes? Are welfare checks still going out to those who do nothing? It is vacation time and we can't visit the White House, can't go to some national parks--it gets worse and worse to those of us who fund the government. When will it be our turn to rest?
Just sock it to the Republicans and stomp all over the honest, hard-working, bill paying Tea Party. Yes, maybe they are stupid to keep putting up with being abused.
Of course, just as you have shown, you are a long standing dem....I don't care what you call yourself, but if you are not willing to call out both sides that your link provides, you are a dem...
But as always, it's only the repubs fault...just ask bobbie....
Yep ... the delusional 'baggers are takin' the entire GOP DOWN.
And ya gotta LOVE that...
I think the giddiness is premature. The Republicans are not going to go away any time soon. Gerrymandering assures they will win in the House for years to come. In fact, playing to the extreme is what ensures their victory. Rational Republicans have already left the party and younger, conservative minded people register as IND leaving the primary process to the fringe element. Congressional districts are so lopsided in party registration, all you have to do is get to the general and you win. The Republicans may never see the inside of the White House again and the Senate will be irretrievably lost eventually, but the House is theirs and they will continue to use their majority there disrupt and obstruct for many more years.
yeah, that tends to happen during economic recoveries.. Economic cycles have only been taking place for thousands of years, but yet Old Gringo, thinks its something new..
The Republicans may never see the inside of the White House again and the Senate will be irretrievably lost eventually,
I love how the left wingers are projecting things like this, just because democrats managed to win 1 election, and then a re-election, which is pretty standard for Presidents.
