Some republics are democracies, some are not. Our republic is a democracy.
But yet you seem to want to legislate by polls now, but didnt want to legislate by polls when they passed Obamacare.

The word hypocrite comes to mind..

Only someone that lives in alternate universe would think that this helps their cause in 2014.
Well, we'll see about that, won't we?
I stand with Ted Cruz and the others with him, and I have told my Senators that (via faxes sent last week and this week).

Meanwhile, Boehner is facing some stiff opposition in the House for his fecklessness. Apparently, the House Republicans have been hearing from their constituents, and unlike the Democrats, they are listening.

The GOP house approves all spending.

Watch the deficit continue to shrink as Obama continues to reduce the size of the federal govt.

I agree the Democrats are exactly what you just said.

I wonder? Since the government is not doing its job; do we still have to pay taxes? Are welfare checks still going out to those who do nothing? It is vacation time and we can't visit the White House, can't go to some national parks--it gets worse and worse to those of us who fund the government. When will it be our turn to rest?

Just sock it to the Republicans and stomp all over the honest, hard-working, bill paying Tea Party. Yes, maybe they are stupid to keep putting up with being abused.

I think the giddiness is premature. The Republicans are not going to go away any time soon. Gerrymandering assures they will win in the House for years to come. In fact, playing to the extreme is what ensures their victory. Rational Republicans have already left the party and younger, conservative minded people register as IND leaving the primary process to the fringe element. Congressional districts are so lopsided in party registration, all you have to do is get to the general and you win. The Republicans may never see the inside of the White House again and the Senate will be irretrievably lost eventually, but the House is theirs and they will continue to use their majority there disrupt and obstruct for many more years.

I love how the left wingers are projecting things like this, just because democrats managed to win 1 election, and then a re-election, which is pretty standard for Presidents.
